Why?

Some of the commissioners don't want the deputy governor to become acting governor in the first place, so, since he's the governor, they can't work under him, they rather resign their post.

This is becoming the first time and year politicians are resigning deliberately and for the fact it was even for loyalty makes it more AWESOME

IT seems some of them can still relate to call of their conscience. Nice gesture

Wailers must wail. Intervene in what? Is there any crisis you are expecting?

Highly possible he didn't write that resignation letter. Most political appointees sign letter-headed papers as they are appointed so they can be "resigned" if they don't conform to the wishes of the governors. Even the date on the letter was written with a pen.

It has nothing to do with conscience. They opposed the current governor when he was a deputy so they have to move before they get the sack.

Maybe corruption is a challenge on his principles so he just jelly resigned.

The resignation is a statement to the governor, that it won't find it easy to governor the state and will even be more challenging to emerge as APC governor in the next election. He was too ambitious and was ready to get the seat before the man died. Jonathan is well respected in the North because he never pushed to be president when Yahadua was sick. I am not from Ondo state, but the represented the interest of South west and the entire southern Nigeria while he lived.

I wish he doesn't get the ticket and if he does get it, the people should punish him by voting the opposition and when that fails, he can only do 1 term in office.
