Imagine Libya is selling fuel at less than #40, surprising. Nigeria topping them with over 600 Naira. Where do Nigeria get their oil? In the moon?

It is pure wickedness to be comparing fuel price in Nigeria to developed countries where there minimum wage is more than a 1000 percent than Nigeria own.
If Nigerian government is the government of the people as they want us to believe fuel price should be like that of Iran, Libya and Venezuela

You are just disturbing yourself with many other factors.
Look at the oil producing countries like Nigeria in the report and look at the prices attached to them.

Iran sells gas N26, Libya, Venezuela etc sell less than N40. You'll not see the so called Nigeria government and their merchants talk about that but compare themselves to a tiny place like Hong Kong that sell over 2k because that's where their interest lie in doing same thing here
Toh! grin

They have come up with their usual propaganda to cover for their incompetence.

Nigeria is a joke! So the citizens should start jubilating right? that an oil producing country like nigeria is selling at 670 Naira a liter with no single functional refinery.
This same Tinubu protested against Jonathan for increasing petrol pump price from 65 Naira to 97 Naira, 1 dollar at 160 to 180 Naira Right now in this Government not up to 8 Months petrol pump price has been increased for 3times at 670 warming up for 1200 naira dollar is now 1220 and more and they are here on social media conjuring this nonsense news.

Note the trend. If you produce you are able to give it to your citizens at a cheaper price.

The basis for this is comparative advantage. It is not a privilege!

Nigerians are crying because they are not even seeing the money to buy the fuel...
At least for UK here.... The average pay is 10 pounds per hour....
So if u work 5hrs each day... That's 50 pounds and if u work 6 days a week.... That's 300 pounds.....
If u work in a month.... U earn at least 1200......
Change that to Nigerian naira.... We are talking almost 2m per month....
Meanwhile the average wage in 9ja is not even up to 50k and yet we are spending as much as 1k per liter on fuel.....
9ja is one of the cheapest countries to live in around the world and that also makes it one of the worst and poorest countries to live in......
May God help us... Heal the land and propel us to that place where He alone has designed for us and may everyone reading this prosper even as well all have planned..... Amen
Lol...the way you folks so easily "punch your calculators" when it comes to dollars and pounds ehn...hmm...did you factor in living expenses/rent/transportation among other things or you just think is just by doing pounds to naira conversion.

Mind you I am not justifying the inequalities in our system but common this Una mathematics no follow abeg.

Nigerians have poverty mentality. I have been saying it a long time. Awo, Zik, and Balewa's generation up to anyone who is 65 years presently are the people who nesswd us up. All of them. They aren't "looking forward" people. Chop all now now dem be. If you can give them free food, they are shameless and would take it. Free education, free this...free that. Very useless people.

.....
Boss I Liv in the UK....
10 pounds can buy me so much more than it's naira equivalent can buy while I was in 9ja.....
Yes the bills are more in the UK but then you get extreme value for your money and that's what matters to anyone spending.....
Take internet for example.... I spend almost 40k per month for my internet and I am always happy when I am able to stream without interruptions...
But over here.... For 17 pounds a month, I get super fast 5g internet with up to 200mbps...

So at the end of the day... For people like me... It's more about the value for money.....

Are Nigerian journalist giving their government a soft landing in order to increase fuel price? Journalism in Nigeria are killing us with Dia lopsided reportage. Why not compare Nigeria GDP and minimum wage with other countries. Fools!!
Re: Nigeria Ranks 22nd In Cheapest Petrol Prices Globally - Global Petrol Prices by Parable007: 10:19pm On Jan 07
If you as a Nigerian call the price of our fuel cheap you are not smart something is wrong with you.... you see all of these are to make us feel comfortable with the current price.
How can we be an oil producing nation and yet can't afford fuel COMFORTABLY.

Buying fuel at the current price is nothing but wickedness, now all of these nonsense is to make us feel comfortable with the current price instead of doing something about the price. All of you supporting this whole fuel stuff are not ok honestly. See if fuel subsidy was a scam they should return it at least that's the only scam that benefits Nigerians.

At least we can comfortably continue business and do well as living things not this nonsense. Like are we brainwashed

Since you all cannot stop this nonsense, when you're done comparing fuel prices also compare

Minimum wage

Personal security

Availability of electricity

Potable water

Public transportation

Inflation

Healthcare

Roads/bridges

Social security

Food security

Environmental conditions

Add the ones I forgot.

Let them increase fuel and they will see how people will pause this country. You people should better stop comparing Nigeria to other countries in this light. Use other indices to compare. Things like standard of living, security, good governance etc

It doesn't matter how "cheap" they can claim fuel is, how much is minimum wage? How can we be buying fuel at almost the same price with countries where people earn over $500 monthly(about 600k naira) as minimum wage?? And you call that cheap?!¿? Are we insane in this country?? ?? ?? This is just a ridiculous attempt at justifying how expensive PMS has become, its dead on arrival!

CC Seunmsg

That boy they call Seunmsg would soon come and tell you 101 reasons why Tinubu is doing well. He will even tell you that things are going smoothly and that everything is cheap yet hunger is dealing with him at home

Even though fuel is more cheaper in Nigeria, our minimum wage is also very poor compared to the countries fuel is expensive

Petrol prices example.

Nigeria -#800 per price
UK - $1.8 = 1800 naira.

Minimum wage
Nigeria - #30,000
UK - $1.667 = 1.6m naira.

Who deh whine who.

Bro no mind our leaders, them go soon know say life get end
