So the question now is who permitted the corps member to travel. Secondly, considering the state of insecurity, don't you think this corper is vulnerable to being attacked by bandits? For those criticising the soldier, if this corps member is kidnapped, isn't it the same security agents we would expect to risk their lives to rescue them. Gone are the days when Youth Corp members were called govt pikin and treated like sacred cows by their host communities. You are right, one of the shortcomings of APC, they exposed corp members to serious ridicule. Police don't detain corp members or parade them before, they take them to the state sec.
I remember when Buhari just got in and soldiers were deployed to my area, there was a kind of movement restrictions, a corp member was going for cds so she had to leave early as she was going out of state or so, this useless soldiers assaulted her, a report was made and nysc took it up, the soldiers apologized to her.

I did a Google map distance calculation between Abuja and ondo. I figured out it will take about 4 days non stop trekking to go from ondo to abuja. That's 4*24=96 hrs. So if he dedicate 8 hrs a day for his adventure, it will take him 96 ÷8 = 12 days.
