I've been wondering what the price per litre of diesel will be once it hits the market.
The main issue is, once it's lower than what we have in the market presently, dealers will prefer to ship it to neighboring countries to maximize their gain.
Our borders are too porous.
I'm worried

Even if they ship it to the neighboring country are they not going to pay for it? I don't think it should be problem because there is no more subsidies

Just remember, when FG was subsidizing PMS, we were actually subsidizing for the entire West African region.

It's only federal government that will benefit big from Dangote Refinery as less FOREX will be required for importation of petroleum products. As for the final consumers, I pray that we don't end up being worse-off as with the case of Cement currently.
Secondly, he can decide to export all his products to the international market and we then important from there like the NLNG model.

This can never be possible, we would rather shutdown the Refinery.
Trust me, Dangote cannot do that. NNPC(FG) owns a substantial part of the Refinery.

Quit with these lies.
The west African region should have experienced massive inflation as Nigeria did due to the subsidy removal
but they didn't.
In fact, the price of their PMS has remained relatively constant.

Where you not wailing now?
How much is the price of diesel currently when your much-hated "monopoly" doesn't exist?

All the NNPCL refineries will start operation this year, Dangote can't monopolize the market.

Do you mind the liars, they keep giving excuses with the West African neighbours while the neighbours enjoy all manner of amenities better than Nigeria.

Dangote cement has the biggest supply chain in Africa, dangote cement is the costliest in Nigerian, so how you expect dangote refinery not to expensive

Anything more than than what 400/liter is nonsense because they told us dangote refinery will take care of local consumption and still export excess to other countries, there won’t be need for subsidy payment since we won’t be exporting petroleum again🤡😭😂

If you all want a cheaper PMS or Diesel. Go and tell FG to reduce the exchange rate. Because you can’t expect him to buy crude at an international price, in dollars o, and expect him to sell at a cheap price, because he loves Nigeria or what?. This is business I don’t expect the PMS to be cheaper than N1000/liter even after considering that there won’t be overseas logistics. The only saving grace here is if the Naira appreciates.
Re: What Will Be The Price Of Dangote Oil(diesel) by Pythagoras001: 7:30pm On Jan 14
Closer to the price in neighbouring countries or higher.

So imported petrol being cheaper than Dangote petrol makes sense to you?

NNPC has 20% stake in Dangote refinery,so it's products cannot be exported when local demand is high.

This is the reason why presidents from almost all West African countries were at the commissioning of Dangote Refinery. It is also the reason that the refinery is so large.

Governments from other West African countries do not benefit from tax on smuggled Nigerian petroleum. In other words, they can't tax it.

Dangote Refinery is going to supply other West African countries directly. If what is provided directly by Dangote is cheaper than what is smuggled, then it'll wipe out the smugglers.

Dangote Refinery was built to absorb the demand in Nigeria and still have more to export to other West African countries.
