Allow community policing, declare areas that are prone to bandit terrorists attacks a police state areas, police state is what China is, you can move from one local government to another without ID card, no 1,no 2 you must state your reason of going there no 3 you must report to the local authorities from your departure to you arrival, local authorities can be the nearest police station or the ward council or local government council not those northern district heads or baálé nor Eze but constitutional recognize authorities at the lowest level, with that we can easily know who is who among us when anything happens it can be easily traced.

The number of Nigerians killed on monthly bases is more like a country at war.
Centralization of Nigeria in Abuja is very wrong. To fix Nigeria, return the country to regionalism and infact, let the regions come together and decide if they even wish to co-exit. The problem here is that the security has been compromised, poorly funded, and no patriotism. There will be more patriotism if we run nation bases country. Omo, Nigeria is very sick. It will get worse. Unfortunately, the middle class and the poor will pay the price. The poticians will never be victims.
So, the middle class and the poor class need to rise and demand for a new system since this current system has not worked for over 60 years. It is normal for any right thinking human to sit down and think of doing something in a new way if the old method has refused to work.
The [b]terrible issue of security started from GEJ when north wanted presidency by all means. T[/b]hose boys they groomed have all become bandits now. So, if we have a system where no one is too interested in the central govt, it will help a lot.

A serious president would have called a state security Council meeting or summoned the IGP and DSS DG and in that process it would put the pressure on them.
For kidnappers to deliberately kill victims due to delayed ransome is something new and shows a level of deep anger with the system.
I believe some of the kidnappers were people frustrated by the goverment in one way or the other.
But kidnapping innocent people is just cowardice while at the same time the government should address the suffering in the land which I believe is part of the cause.

Nigeria should ban paying ransom to bandits. Sure a few people will die which will be very hurtful to the families involved but within three months all these stories of kidnapping will die and even if it happens both the kidnappers and the victims will be very secretive about it so more and more miscreants will see it as easy way of getting rich
