This is serious. I am sure the government is doing everything at this point to spin the narrative instead of doing thorough investigation to ascertain the cause of this tragedy and how to prevent recurrence

Damn, the house where the explosion occurred completely vaporized!

I can only imagine the state of the people present around that time. They'd be lucky if any of their body parts are found at all.

Until we return back to the good old days when what happens in your neighbor's house is everybody else business, things we continue like this. Do you know what your neighbor does for a living?

I am woke.
I am exposed.
I am a progressive.
I am for human rights.
Ayam a full.

It is incontrovertible that every technological advancement today is just one of many on the continuum of technological inventions that started off decades and decades ago. This affirms a fact - the old pre-dates and shapes the new.

To put things in perspectives, the old days where de-facto community-policing was practiced in Nigeria were the good days. Those times when virtually everybody in a neighbourhood knew what happened in every house on the street. Those were definitely the good old days.
Privacy and all its associations with modernism and freedom can be a disastrous gift....

The first goal is to pretend it didn't happen.
The second goal is to say it was a mistake by someone they can throw off the bus

They will never admit that it was done by you know what. Because if they do, then people will expect them to do something to stop it from happening again.

dey play.

think about it? how long did they deny what was going on in the middle belt? and to this day it still hasn't been solved. They would rather hide it, then allow it to be public and then people will want them to fix it.

This is why we should not condone evil. You never know when it will hit home. I can bet good money, at least ONE of the people in the surrounding compounds knew about stuff kept in that house but said nothing.

Today, their house as well has been shattered.

If impact of the explosion cratered solid ground like that, structural integrity of every house in a 5 mile radius must be tested.

Sources claim illegal miners stored explosives in the house which detonated and led to an explosion

Joke apart government must put in their best to know what actually happened and how. Sweeping this aside when it could be activity of terrorists is signing off the lives of poor masses. I read about 11 reasons why one must Japa on this forum the other day and a rejoinder few days ago. While this for me makes it 12th reason to japa it's singularly a big reason to counter the rejoinder. We haven't heard about the number of victims yet but that cleared an entire area! for God's sake! haaaaaaaaa!
