Ibadan Explosion.......Official Report Suspicious

Following the news of the tragic loss of life and property in Ibadan by a massive explosion, some of the official reports need investigating . This is because of the unlikely hood and suspicious nature of what was reported. Lets look at the facts.

After the explosion it was reported that it was due to an earthquake. Later on the report changed and the report claimed it was a Gas explosion.
When the dust started to clear and day light exposed the severity of the damage the report quickly changed and the story became that it was caused by illegal miners storing explosives. There was immediate and overwhelming outcry from all across the nation that the so-called illegal miners be brought to justice. Then the report changed again the the explosion was caused by FOREIGN illegal miners.

A brief review of these reports leads to some head scratching. A few questions that need to be answered is :

Why was the state govt and media quick to offer explanation under 24hrs before any formal investigations had occurred??
Why was the narrative constantly changed under 24hrs of the explosion?
Why would illegal miners choose to store massive amounts of deadly explosives so close to a VIP suburban area full of big men and homes of politicians? Makes no sense!
Why was nothing done prior if every one in the neighborhood apparently knew that the suspected property housed illegal miners ?

Illegal mining is a multi billion naira enterprise only the elite can afford to venture into. The scale of the explosion suggests that gigantic amounts of explosives were stored at the property. Some of the elite in the state cannot claim not to be aware of this.
Blaming illegal miners seems like a convenient and quick excuse to divert attention from the real cause and perpetrators.

That the state govt and local media where the first to give uninvestigated reports of the cause of the explosion is a serious cause of concern.
When there is an incident the first people supposed to be giving a report are the Police after an investigation. This was not the case in this situation.

Nigerians should ask questions who was really responsible and what the explosives were really for. The official account does not add up!
