Mrs Orobosa Agba, the wife of the Governorship aspirant of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Edo stated has pledged that welfare of children, youths and women will be prioritised if her husband is elected governor come September.

She made the pledge at her yearly children party in Uzanu, Etsako East Local Government Area of the state where she feted hundreds of the children.

Supported at the party by the Convener of Edo Women In Diaspora (EWID), Barr. Roseline Odiye and Mrs Simon Ogie, the APC aspirant spouse said Agba plan to adopt top-bottom approach in ensuring total transformation of the state, including that of children and youths wellbeing.

She said the disparity between children of the poor and that of the rich will be bridged through massive improvement in the standard of learning and teaching in public schools across the state.

While noting that the youths will be productively engaged to curb youth restiveness, she said women will be empowered to caretaker for their families as well as contribute their quota to the economy development of the state.

According to her, "These (Children and Youths) forms the major segment of the population of Edo state and deliberate efforts must be made to prioritise their welfare and anything that concerns their wellbeing if the state is to witness peace, progress and development.

"This is why Prince Clem Agba (PCA) campaign have a blue print already developed centered around children and youths wlefare in addition to women empowerment.

"Over the years, without being in government, we have remained committed to the empowerment of women an youths across various communities, so also have we been concerned with that of children.

"We will be taking it a step further when we are in government by committing much resources to this priority areas: children, youths and women.

"We plan to redudce drastically, the number of out of school children and also ensure welfare of those in school are well taking care of.
