The problem is not about fasting and prayers , it's about local and international government policies; the sudden removal of subsidy on petroleum pushed the cost of transport fares up and the economy sanctions on Niger Republic coup junta added salt to the injury because majority of the supplies of grains food stuffs in Nigeria are from the northern part who are mostly ethno related to the people of Niger Republic, they're smuggling large barges of food stuff and other essential commodities into the country from our very porous land borders on daily basis, it's more profitable to carry goods and food stuffs to sell in Niger and bring the money to Nigeria then repeat the cycle, this is so because of the continue fall in value of naira against the dollar and by extension other related currencies. The demands is far more than the supplies definitely price will go up and this will extend the bandwagon effect to other commodities... , The solutions iare intensive and massive investment in agriculture to expand productions, reductions in the smuggling activities of food stuff out of the country especially to the sanctioned countries , cushioning the effects of the subsidy removal's shocks and probably return of the policy of dual exchange rates to stabilize the naira.
