It's a stale news,the fresh primary election held today and i think the results will be declared later tonight.Some places started very late that's the reason for the delay.It seems oshiomhole still prevailed as i earlier predicted.

We like deceiving ourselves in this country.
I remember the frenzied calls last time to make direct primaries mandatory.
The reality is that no major political party in Nigeria can conduct a credible direct primary election.
There is no single direct primary election amongst the thousands we have held in this country that one can point out as credible.
This is the sham that some ignorant folks wanted to make compulsory in our electoral act.
Even the new one that will be conducted in Edo State will still be a charade.

What does this your observation tell you?

It shows that there is no system, no matter how good that we can't corrupt and render ineffective as a result of our greed.

This is another opportunity for APC to wrestle power in EDO, or for PDP to retain power probably an opportunity for Labor party.

Alas! Selfishness will not allow them elect the best candidates

Asue Ighodalo of PDP will succeed Obaseki.
