in my opinion that size is more than enough. If I was the president I was reduce budget for the military. Retrain a lot of them and moved them to the police. Upgrade the police to a 21st century police. The military are not trained to and cannot solve internal security issue. None of our neighbour have the capacity now and in the future to attack us militarily. Instead of wasting money on the military the money can be channelled to the police why the rest could be moved into education/health/public infrastructure to improve the economy.

The size is enough for air force, equipment and training is much needed than number
