There are still some painful reforms to go, notably the full deregulation of both the petrol price and that of electricity.

It is sad that the government seems to be following the import substitution model that has got the country nowhere.

Also, there as yet to be a cut in the company tax to 15% or lower. This would boost not only local investments but foreign. Low corporate taxes have proven to be game changers wherever they've been applied. They've brought fast growth to Central European economies. It also encourages companies to enter the formal economy rather than continue working in the shadows.

Government also needs to roll out a plan to privatize all government owned seaports and international airports. If not privatize, at least commercialise

Henry Cardoso should hike up interest rates from. 22.75 to at least 26%. This should boost the exchange rate to around $1 -N1,250.
I like the way you offered solutions, your own opinion and alternative to the government. Most people just rant and complain, they never see or offer a solution to our problems.

We are enjoying your administration Mr President.

Those who never voted for you and those who feel their tribes man wasn't voted for are the ones increasing prices of commodities three times in a day (morning, afternoon and evening) just to spike their fellows against you. Else, how will the price of garri increase because of dollar? They say there's food scarcity yet when you go to the markets you see more than enough quantity of food stuff you're looking for but they say scarcity of food thereby increasing prices indiscriminately. Those people are just plain wicked Mr President.

We the people with sound mind understand that 9 months cannot perform magic. For policies to take full course it should be atleast 2 years for the full benefits. Any inconvenience from you now is appreciated as we believe it is just temporary and it is for our good.

Go after those sabotaging your efforts.

We believe in your administration and we strongly believe Nigeria be be better and heading to compete with countries like USA amd China after you've completed your two terms.
The president is saying a year, prof is saying a year, you a common praise singer is saying atleast two year. The blame now is no longer past government because that past government is from your party. You guys now blame the common Nigerian for the country's woos.

first of all, is the government going to see the so called solutions he offered?

if the government sees it, will they do anything about it?

is he the one supposed to offer solutions to government?

what are those in government appointed and elected to do since it is solution from the electorate you are expecting they should have before they do their jobs?

It's pitiful that there are still fOOLS who are being tribalistic about the situation thaat affects every part of the nation. To you, only one tribe has decided to hike food prices, right? Kindly remind us where hardship protests commenced from please.
I'm from Nasarawa, and even the Northern shop owners sell commodities at high rates, stop being stupid.

What a fOOOOOL!

But the hardship will be over. Rocket science i guess.

what are the "painful reforms" you are referring to?

which "painful reforms" was doing for 8years that 8years after you are still talking of "painful reforms"?

where is it stated that reforms must be painful?

the people inflicting pain on Nigerians in the name of reforms, are they experiencing the pain of the reforms?

since the price of diesel and kerosene has been deregulated, pls what s the benefit thus far?

What measures is this GOVERNMENT putting in place to ensure that the hardship is quench soonest?
Re: Hardship Will End Soon, FG Tells Aggrieved Nigerians by sharone21(f): 8:01am On Mar 01
No talk of creating job again for everyone, rather how to balance unstable Naira caused by them, how to increase electricity tariff and ensure more power supply etc, things that other African countries have already achieved.

If this govt is confused about what to do, let's regionalise Nigeria and let the regions get their leaders eg South West-Tinubu, SE-Obi...SS-Goodluck &Okonjo Iweala or even Donald Duke.....North-Atiku....Let each run their CBN and do as they want concerning the borders...SS&SE will open to Cameroon and go into alliance in certain areas with them.

APC has the most heartless leaders.

OKAY, even if we agreed that there are no jobs in Africa, at least we should get some things right for the people eg affordable food, transport, constant power supply so people can generate income for themselves, let Naira to cfa be 1 to 1, freer economy eg allowing us to send WU, MG outside Nigeria not only receiving dollars from them.......

This is why it is not good to steal what belongs to others as God is a God of justice and doesnt sleep on wicked acts---Cursed mandate.
