*KEY POINTS FOR THE 2024 NATIONAL SCHOOLS CHESS CHAMPIONSHIP*

1. The tournament is well prized.

2. The tournament already secured an executive venue

3. The tournament can only accommodate 200 schools in Nigeria. 100 primary school teams and 100 secondary school teams.

4. Primary shall not play against Secondary

5. The tournament is national, and there shall be restrictions to the number of Lagos schools to be registered. A certain % shall be allocated to Lagos State while we encourage schools from other parts of Nigeria to participate. It shall be on an early registration basis. Registration details shall be communicated soon.

6. We are working on free registration, but this is yet to be confirmed.

Pry school: max 10 years old

Secondary school: max 16 years old

A school with both can present their different teams. Note that primary school shall play differently from secondary school this time.

Tentatively, the date is Friday, 24 May 2024, and Saturday, 25 May 2024.

Subject to the sponsors' acceptance of the provisioned date.
