There is, but I've never been able to stay 1 or 2 hours to see a full movie. I keep the subscription for when I have visitors

At least Tinubu's supporters would see something to celebrate about. They would tell you that Netflix in Nigeria is one of the cheapest in the world even though none of them can actually afford to have it installed and subscribed on any of their devices.

Last time I checked, the biggest number of subscribers in the country for the same NETFLIX service is LAGOS; Tinubu's supporters main domain. Or is Netflix too marginalizing the self acclaiming region๏ผŸ

If not for the common basic amenities we lack like

Nigeria would have been one of the best country to live and start a family...

Nigeria offers the privilege of market population just like Pakistan.
Also, the exchange rate and affordability matters to the market. Most Nigerians will prioritize food over Netflix. Best bet, the stream online or download the movies

Hello.
How does dis netflix works?
Does it have channels like dstv?
huptin:
I pay N4,400 monthly for the full subscription package, thats about $2.93 and thats the exact amount i have been paying for 4 years now.

Netflix is very understanding, thats why i stopped paying for DSTV, any small thing, they don increase price.

Netflix when you can go to youtube and watch Nigerian movies.
Call them craps( I used to) but it is source of employment to teaming population of Nigeria and youtube has given them avenue to make money in dollars.
These actors earn more than actors who depend on Netflix. I did my research. And that is why I stream them always.

Shame no gree the Netflix dependants to go join the youtube gang. These guys are balling.

And by the time you have those things Nigeria will become so expensive to live In.
People all over the world pay for what they enjoy. People donโ€™t understand what proper civilization and great economy come with.

In the past when Garri was sold at 2k per rubber, they used leg to travel from Ilesa to Lagos. Some rich folks use horses.

Cars didnโ€™t have air confrontational. No smart homes no mobile phones but Land phones that are in th rich menโ€™s homes. Maybe 2 to 5 people in a whole community. Thereโ€™s no color TVs but today we use smart TVs. Yet people still want the price of goods and services remain the same. World must rotate so also the living standards my move with. The convenience you enjoy today comes with a cost!

Abeg go and rest. After preventing non indigenes from voting and threatening to deal with them openly...you're here claiming you won the gubernatorial elections. Even popular celebrities like Kate Hension were openly harassed by your miscreants, yet you don't see anything wrong with it. Chinedu is your problem.

It's people like you who would support politicians who don't care about you as long as they're your tribesmen, then go to bed on empty stomachs. Continue, by the time your almighty Tinubu is done with you, you won't even be able to afford data to come online and defend his failure.

How is it cheap Ever heard of purchasing power?

Check your minimum wage of $18-$20 to pay 4.4$ Netflix, and check the others minimum wage, so your calculations and see Nigeria is expensive.

Uk minimum wage is 11.49 pounds per hour, you work 10 hours, you make 100 pounds after tax, meaning 1hr 15mins work to pay for Netflix.

So which is cheap??

calm down... according too your hourly minimum uk wage of ยฃ11.49, full-time job hours per week is 40hrs.... which gives ยฃ459.6 per week and ยฃ1,838.4 per month excluding extra hours....

Now tell me with how expensive that uk is will someone earning minimum wage of ยฃ1,838.4 pee month be able to survive there.....

lol

Let say 1650 after tax minus rent average 550-600 all bills included house, transport 80-90
Food 100
Netflix and others - 30

Total bills 760, let say 800

You still have. 850 to save, let say 800 to save

Times 2100

In naira thatโ€™s 1.610m

Been here 10 years man. You canโ€™t tell me about this place.

If you have a plan, you go make am.

You can even get all bills included room for 450-500

Imagine you work extra hours, saving 1k pounds a month, thatโ€™s

Senior bois salary for Nigeria, 2m monthly.

Imagine us earning more than that.

No let anymore deceive you, or you deceive yourself, if you get means japa. But japa with a plan. Full excel sheet plan. 5 years plan.

It's even cheaper in Argentina & Turkey where they earn more than Nigeria. I reckon there are several factors that affect the prices including demand, taxes and purchasing power and currency rates to the US dollar....

That's not cheap at all considering the fact that the minimum (monthly) wage in Nigeria is just $20.
There are high inflation and heavy currency devaluations in both Argentina and Turkey in recent months same with Nigeria. That could be one of their yardstick of fixing the rate.

Other wealthy countries like Denmark, Ireland, and the U.S. were in the top five most expensive countries for Netflix subscriptions, ranging from $16.46 to $15.49.

On the opposite side of the pendulum, Pakistan had the lowest Netflix subscription cost at $2.82 per month. It was followed by Tรผrkiye at $3.38 and Argentina at $3.57.

Several factors influence the flux in pricing of Netflix subscriptions across different nations. These include:

Economic Factors: Netflix tailors its prices to align with the purchasing power of consumers in each market. Countries with higher average incomes typically bear higher subscription costs.
Market Competition: The presence of strong local streaming services can exert downward pressure on Netflix prices, forcing it to adjust its offerings to remain competitive.
Content Licensing: The cost of acquiring content rights varies across regions, influencing the overall pricing structure. Countries with higher licensing fees may experience higher subscription costs.
Currency Fluctuations: Currency exchange rates can impact Netflixโ€™s pricing model, leading to occasional adjustments or fluctuations in subscription costs.
While affordability remains a primary concern for consumers, Netflixโ€™s pricing strategy also aims to balance accessibility with content acquisition and profitability.

As the streaming industry continues to evolve, it will be interesting to observe how Netflix adapts its pricing model to maintain its global dominance while catering to the diverse needs and preferences of its audience.
