that's where they want us, keep borrowing to hide our flaws then in the end, problem persist no matter how hard we find solutions.
tinubu is already resisting such people.
and to tell you the truth, subsidy is one thing derailing our economy for decades..
they inned us in a situation that whenever subsidy is removed, they devalue your currency and make you pay for same subsidy.
they want us as slaves forever.
IMF has been busted now this one that can't save UK economy is dishing advice.

Lol...that last line shows that you do not understand how things work.

Nigerian govt. can not resist borrowing. in fact, the main reason Tinubu is running from pillar to post to Arabian countries even when they don't want him is to seek for foreign loans/investments. NIGERIA IS ILLIQUID!!! The little money you see circulating in the economy is the ways and means(free currency printing) granted by Emefiele. No inflow is coming from Oil sale(the oil production for next 18 months have been used as futures/derivates). Whatever the govt is calling inflow from recent publications are portfolio investment that will have to be taken out of the country by their investors. This current government might have no other option than to turn to the ways and means that they have been badmouthing recently. The subsidy is back, even bigger that it was despite the government being hush about it. No foreign organisation wants to grant Nigerian loans because the feel the reforms were not well implemented.

now I'm convinced Tinubu is doing the right thing.

lol...we shall see. Currently, the Nigerian govt is talking to the world bank for more loans and might have to turn to the ways and means(recently condemned by this current administration) to fund the budget. Or how else do you expect them to fund the budget?? with the subsidy back and growing much more than it was before it was "pronounced ended"

The govt will borrow, Watch out in the next few months and you will come back to appreciate their openness and honesty in telling you how bad things have grown

Meaning... they must continue borrowing.

Meanwhile, some of the politicians have more than required to save the naira in accounts linked to them and their family members...even stored up in houses.

Let them continue deceiving themselves.

Meanwhile, they still haven't officially agreed that subsidy is back o.

It's just like when bubu said he was fighting corruption/kwarapsan. but the corruption in his government exceeded all the other governments put together since inception.

EIU doesn't wish Nigeria well...why don't they advise Russia, China, UK and even Qatar to get foreign loans?

If you borrow money from anyone, you might as well pay back with slaves.
Which is technically what is happening now in the world, the western powers borrow us money that paying becomes difficult, Nigerians end up japa-ing as living conditions are tough in Nigeria.

Then when they get abroad the japa people are exploited. So technically theu are not coming to capture slaves in badagry, they are making the slaves come to them.

That's an interesting way of looking at it.

Nothing like slaves,
They are given you a genuine advice you are talking about slaves and masters
More European countries take loans more than African nations,
Big Nations like Japan, Germany, south Korea, once took bailout loans,
The problem with ours is that in stead of the loans be used for the economy some politicians loot it
Oh God! Have mercy.

borrowing to aid the quick recovery of our national economy is not a bad idea when you have responsible leadership that can punish corrupt attitudes of greedy leaders and make corruption un-attractive to them.
but with our type of present highly greedy and selfish leaders, this is not advisable because they can only borrow to loot and fund their luxurious lifestyles, while the nation degenerate as usual.
Why not cut down on cost of governance and let the political class make some sacrifices for the future good of the nation, by accepting the reduction of their salaries and huge remunerations ?

Not true. But we are not ready for the hardship that comes with doing things the right way.

Do you guys even think hardship na child's play?

Most especially for business owners, things must not continue like this for the next 6 months sef

The president was unprepared for the position period..

No matter the crumbs they drop as palliative it wont even pass their gates before it's being shared totally.
Re: Only Foreign Borrowing Can Save Naira, Clear CBN Debts – EIU by dallyemmy: 7:41am On Mar 11
I think we need to ensure our Naira becomes an internationally recognised currency as well as enhance our seaports to enable export of raw materials and finished goods.

A borrower is a slave to a lender. International monetary system is designed to favour the West. We need to be weary of the type of agreements we go into to prevent a modern day slavery.

If you take loans , what do you intend to use to pay back ? You are comparing Nigeria to Japan,Germany and Korea.....lol
These are all first world countries, Germany sells mercedes benz to the whole world
Japanese sells cars to the whole world
Korea also has over 100 billion dollars in export.

Nigeria cannot even employ 50% of its citizens and pay salary with the crude oil exports

My friend, we cannot afford to borrow money.

When Korea and Japan and Germany took loans were they first world countries?

Every japanese car you see in the world, The owner has paid money to japans economy.

If these people borrow money, they have the means to pay.

We are planning to borrow to pay back previous loans.....we dont make anything thats bringing revenue.

Nonsense!

Just trying to discourage people from leaving the shithole.

Didn't buhari borrow against future oil supply? There are many things to swap for the money if only corruption will allow those in authority do the right thing.
