Tension continued to built up in Ondo state ahead of the governorship election with various support group forming strategy.
Among the support group forming strategy to support their principal is the Lucky Ayedatiwa Campaign Organization Foot Soldiers which adopted the wearing of red berets as their mode of dressing.
Many indigenes of the state have attributed this insignia to cultism, which was frowned at by the Nigeria public and the state have particularly been struggling with cult related anti social activities.
Governor Ayedatiwa who performed the inauguration was seen donning the red berets which some people who witness the occasion felt may further emboldened cultism activities
across the state and the country at large.
On his own part Mr Niyi Arogbo says "now that Governor Lucky Ayedatiwa has adopted a red berets, let Mr Olushola Oke adopt a yellow beret,while Mr Jimoh Ibrahim another aspirant adopt the use of blue beret and Wale Akinterinwa may chose black beret to make sure we systematized everything, Ondo 2024 will be very interesting"
In a related reaction, the state director of information for LACO-FS Kayode Fasua distances the group from cultism related activities.
