The Tin-Can Island Command of the Nigeria Customs have intercepted a catche of arms and ammunition allegedly being smuggled into the country by some criminal gang.

Among items intercepted are military camouflage and illicit drugs such as Colorado.
The arms recovered include automatic single barrel rifles and pump action guns
.

Though, details of the interception is still sketchy as at press time, sources said the arms were recovered during an inspection of consignments imported into the country.
It is not clear as at press time if any arrest has been made.

The interception is coming barely eight months after Customs seized 31 arms of various types at Tin-Can and Multi-Purpose Terminals (PTML) ports in Lagos.

The Comptroller-General of Customs, Mr. Adewale Adeniyi, told journalists then that two suspects were arrested in connection with the seizure.

They’re never ready to tackle the illegal importation of arms and military equipment into the country because they're directly or indirectly involved. If the govt is serious they should declare capital punishment for anyone caught.

Since long long time ago interceptions of military hardwares, attires, and what have you has been a thing for the customs.

A red eyed question desperately begging for an answer is: why are the gangs always in the air ? Never arrested and never to bear the consequences attached to their crimes?

Are they untouchable or unstoppable??

Anytime the govt are ready to handle our security issue, they will stop all this. For now, everyone is cashing out.

What I heard on how bandits moved the school children they kidnapped in Kaduna to another state, I gave up on this country.

My own advice to Nigerians is that, if you have to make inter state travel just use flight, if no money for flight, forget about the traveling.

If you are leaving in areas that is prone to bandits attack, kindly relocate to a safer place.

If you have the means, japa.

For now, Nigeria is just a place where those who have power are making money through the lives of the citizens.

A kidnapped victim said that even the kidnappers hardly have gud food to eat, this is to show that those ransom they collect doesn't end in their pocket, but in the pocket of the ogas who are indirectly or directly in charge of govt and securities.

The number of illegal arms, ammunition and military paraphernalia in the country that came in through the porous Northern borders are not reasons to be bothered by the schemers but they routinely stage purported discoveries and seizures of arms and military paraphernalia here in the South without one day showing arrested owners.
They should continue playing their cards, days of reckoning are here soon undecided undecided undecided undecided

Same news publication, you said it is not clear if any arrest has been made and on the same publication, you said 2 were arrested. What kind of journalism is this? At times it is a news with too many repeated information.
