Election fraud, misrepresentation and falsification are not criminal offences it seems in Nigeria.

There has been a whole series of litigation's that have culminated in elections being declared invalid. Is this a play on words or what ,how did the tribunal come to the deduction that elections duly carried out and substantiated by INEC were invalid as opposed to fraudulently and criminally rigged, call a spade a spade. There should be a follow up indictment by these Judges on INEC and the officers so found culpable but all we are getting is SILENCE.

It becomes apparent that the beneficiaries of this open, blatant intentional, premeditated election fraud, misrepresentation and falsification are elected government officials supposed honourable and excellent men and women.

The invalidity that the tribunal are upholding in their judgment are in substance criminal acts and when you add the associated acts of gun running, killings, GBH, etc . Then there should be a whole lot of people arrested and being charged not just for election fraud but murder, GBH, gun running etc.

Has INEC brought forward any of its officers to face prosecution for breach of trust, election fraud, rigging, falsification, forgery, etc, etc. Now you begin to wonder about this so called man of integrity Prof. Jega

In my state Delta, the election tribunal has declared the gubernatorial election results in the LGA's of Warri North, Warri South, Warri South-West, Ethiope West, Bomadi and Burutu as invalid. This is mass open rigging by any standard that requires participative collaboration of INEC, The Police and quite a few hundred people maybe even a thousand people but nobody but nobody seems to have been arrested or prosecuted its ABSURD.

Finally across the whole nation has anyone been prosecuted for election malpractices

Finally, Finally is election rigging lawful

I have always been cautious about Delta states politics, because of the an explosive ethnic mix which is further heightened by the fact that the state is governed by an ethnic minority man. However, the judgement of the tribunal raises very disturbing questions that cannot be wished away; these are very powerful questions about legitimacy. It also brings to question, the professionalism and uprightness of the judiciary; but thats just a signal of the wider rot in Nigerian society.

The 140,000 INEC registered voters in Warri South makes 7% of Delta states two million total. When a whopping 6 other LGA's are added to the mix, it becomes extremely worrying indeed.
That election should have been annulled and repeated; however, I wonder if that would change the result, Uduaghan is not in a hurry to "visit" Ibori. Its a desperate mans fight and woe betide anybody in a drowning mans grasp. I prefer PDP anyday, but not when a man uses in this way to bludgeon the will of his own people.

It is for the elders like Michael Ibru and Edwin Clark to sit in a forthright meeting and come up with solutions that will save the state from ethnic cataclysm come 2015.
Preferably, they can drag Great Ogboru into PDP where he belongs. lol!

A deficient democracy is called mob rule.
when do we assume democracy dead?
when you can buy votes
when you can sell votes
when you can loot the treasury
when legislation can be made for a special group of people.
then we say democracy has failed.

so the election was recycling the same garbage.

I find this post reflects the state of the nation just like PHC we expect nothing and are shocked when we receive something that something being very erratic power supply.

In the same way we expect elections to be rigged and judges to be bribed. Therefore adjudication that delivers sentences commensurate with crime irrespective of a persons standing civil, social or otherwise, for now it seems are a PIPE DREAM.
