The state funding of police is moot point.

Reasons:
1. Nobody is forced to establish a police force.
2. The Federal police force does not get disbanded.
3. When prisons were moved to the concurrent list states were not forced to establish one.
4. States that are willing to establish a police force should not be held back by poor and incompetent states.

Okay.

If history is a guide. When State policing moves to concurrent list states will opt not to establish one. It's probably more trouble than it's worth to most. They don't care to build prisons to house criminals. It would be hilarious to see states establish a prison then the FG simply refuses their inmates.

I still think the federal government needs to have an arbitrary date bot to accept state law offenders. It's benefits the federal government. When it comes to Policing they can pick and choose where to focus their resources.
