How? Isn’t dollar beating Naira right now? How is Naira beating the dollar? This his “will continue” is confusing me🤔

"Is beating" is continuous
"Will beat" continuing into the future
"Had beaten" past perfect. (Not here yet)).

The first two will eventually give birth to your last sentence. Economics is far from nsogbu nsogbu

How much was it when Tinubu took over?

Economics is not propaganda

If it is working, it will reflect on the livelihood of the common man. If it's not working, no amount of propaganda can change it.

Is that what you were told? Is the naira not being defended at the moment?

But when the naira was crashing against the dollar at an alarming rate, you all said that the naira was undervalued; in fact,  it was finding its true value.

Is this current price the true value of the Naira?

Like I stated earlier, economics is not propaganda.

If it is working, it will surely reflect on the livelihood of the common man; if it's not working, no amount of propaganda can make it work.

What reflection are you looking for? If a dollar is equal to a naira. Nothing will still change. That's one thing obidients don't get when they're shouting dollar dollar.

If you want to build house in Nigeria today practically everything you need for the house is produced in Nigeria, from cement, to sand, to granite, to nails, to wood, to iron, to roofing sheets or tiles. Therefore, building a house should have been the cheapest thing in Nigeria because the raw materials are sourced locally and have nothing to do with dollar.

Lol.. the difference between official and blackmarket is less than 50naira, so what is government defending?. You want to compare to when dollar was 460-780 at official-parrallel market.

Now is becoming clear that even of the naira continues to appreciate against the dollar, and the prices of goods no come down then there's no usefulness, greed is what will kill us eventually especially in this south.

but a dollar was 1500- 1900 at official-parrallel under this calamitous Tinubu regime a couple of weeks back.

putindbutt

How do you measure performance?

Tinubu government met Naira exchanging at N780 to a dollar, Crashed it to the extent that it almost getting to 2000 to a dollar

Nigerians will take Tinubu serious when Naira begin to exchange at below N700 to a dollar.

For now, it's all propaganda

Don't make it look like a high dollar rate has no impact.

There's no doubt that these machines aren't bought like cups of rice.

But they deteriorate with time, which requires maintenance and, most times, outright overhauling. Huge investments are made in these things.

Do not forget that new industries are also springing up that require huge investments in machinery.

Agreed. The dollar to me shouldn't be the reason why almost every price of commodities have gone over the roof. I think what we should shout more about is the price of fuel, diesel and the likes.

Tinubu I see what u did there.

U brought us to the least low, and started compensating in bit just for it to seem u are working.

Just like someone owing 5k, borrowing another 50k making it a total of 55k only to pay back in bits to offset the debt.

Bunch of clowna in FG.

Good

We are all suffering from the policies of the current government. There's no different price for Obidients and another price for Tinubu supporters. Everyone buys from the same market.

But I find it funny and repulsive when Tinubu supporters turn genuine and valid concerns of patriotic Nigerians into tribal and ethnic warfare.
