Dey play. Peter Obi don cast. He capitalized on the prevailing sentiments at the time that a muslim could not succeed a muslim president and he positioned himself as the Christian candidate by moving from one church to another. Christian leaders then carried his matter for mouth and were campaigning for him in their churches. They sowed fear in their congregations that Nigeria was at the verge of islamization if Tinubu or Atiku won. The rest is history. Obi cannot pull such stunt again. He has lost his element of surprise. He will lose woefully in 2027.

You seem too glad about this unfortunate development. Don't you know that for a healthy democracy to flourish there must be some kind of opposition to the party in power? Nigeria needs the LP as an alternative to the PDP and APC
Not LP under Abure
We have YPP
SDP
APGA
KOWA
HOPE
ZENITH
NNPP
MDP
AA
and Manny more

Nothing good can come out of LP under Abure

These are political jobbers using the name of a party to achieve their motives. In their inner minds, they never believed in the ideology of lp. They never had the people at mind but their personal gains!!! Who knows them before? They should be forever grateful for the party for giving them the platform.

What do you call your fake messiah obingo, who is a serial party defector?

The Supreme Court has already ruled on that

Only INEC can declare their Seats Vacant
Defections are allowed in time of Party Crisis

Labour Party is in Crisis and even the blind can see it

The defectors are not different from the obirodents fake messiah who has taken political defection as a career. But the losers would praise obingo for defecting and condemn others for the same offense. Hypocrites.

This defection will not stand. I urge INNEC to as a matter of urgency declare their seats vacant or face the wrath of the misses

There is no crisis in LP to warrant this defection.

I hereby call on ALL obedients to take over the premises of the Enugu state House of Assembly until their seats are declared vacant.

I appeal to president Tinubu to kindly intervene over this.

Tinubu is a father to All and we believe he will intervene

See as these f00ls shot themselves in the foot!

Unpopular politicians that rode to power on the back of Peter Obi. Their best bait would have been to remain in labor party and provide a good opposition to PDP in the state. That way it'll be easier for them to go for second term and still enjoy the support of the people.

Now that they hurriedly decamped to PDP, it is game over for them because they can ever win PDP tickets considering that PDP already has some strong political gurus in their fold. They'll just complete one term and go into political oblivion.

Enugu State seriously need a second party to provide the much-needed opposition to PDP. One party system is not good for the people in a democracy!

With all the shenanigans going on in labour party

This is just the beginning

Serious implosion is coming

Even Abure is doing anyhow now

They weren't serious one bit

None of them had dignity and political integrity abi initio. They are just waiting for the challenges of LP to statue before you see all of them disappear into the abyss of political corrupt class.

What's d point of his 'popularity' bikonu: destruction!

Destruction of a party that has been in existence since 2002 (22 yrs) in just under 2 years.

I have no issues with Igbos who followed obi, its normal to have ethnic pity on a kinsman; its d non-igno fuuls who (naïvely) blved an 8-yr nonperforming gov of anambala state is their messiah thst shd be flogged at the market square.

Sebi their aiz don clear now!
cool

Shenanigans go on in other parties as well, be it APC, PDP, APGA etc, they all experience internal crisis. What is happening currently in LP is just one man (Abure) trying to impose himself on others. It's good that even INEC has reject the outcome of that shambolic convention. The crisis would soon be resolved and the right party excos elected. Abure will finally bow out in shame.

LP is in for it big time. The structure that's really talked about during the 2023 electioneering period does matter in a political landscape of our nascent democracy. A lot of the LP flag bearer rode on the popularity of PO and got elected, but we are all seeing what has become of that popular and fearful party.

LP has no different ideology from other parties. Otti spent billions on food within three months just like other govs. Their lawmakers are equally collecting everything, right and wrong that other lawmakers are collecting at the national assembly
