The Rivers State House of Assembly, on Saturday, said it will not hesitate to impeach the state governor, Siminalayi Fubara, if it becomes the last resort to uphold the Constitution.

This is as the 27 lawmakers loyal to the Minister of the Federal Capital Territory, Nyesom Wike, took a swipe at the former Rivers State Peoples Democratic Party Presidential Campaign Council led by Dr Abiye Sekibo over its recent attack on Wike.

Speaker of the House, Martin Amaewhule, who stated this at a media briefing in Port Harcourt on Saturday, was flanked by 26 of his colleagues.

One man wants to continue to keep Rivers state in his pocket.

If you like impeach Fubara and bring Wike's twin brother, they will still fight.

There is a level of control which you cannot exert on an adult governor, even if he is your son.

If you like impeach him, there will be many more Fubaras if your master doesn't let go of his third term aspiration.

Governing a state like Rivers state can never be easy for anyone who is WEAK!

Naturally, ALL the ethnic groups in Rivers state are strong headed in nature.

I wonder where this Fubara guy emanate from sef.

No single ball!

I think it would be in the interest of the people to impeach him. How this one wan take fight opposition, how would he protect the interest of his people and the Niger Delta? How would he tame militants and cult groups?

If they impeach Fubara, nothing will happen. The only thing that will happen is going to court to claim it back.

If you protest, you'll get lekki treatment.

Stop using emotions to deal with legal, politics or government issues.

Lol, it was always dumb to let them keep their seats. If he had the option of having them removed over their defecting, he should have taken the opportunity. Peace is over-rated when not weighted against other factors.
