RE State Police?? No African Country Has Regional Police by KnowAll(m): 1:52pm On Apr 01
Was doing a research on community police and found out in South Africa there is nothing like Kwa Zulu Police, or Eastern Cape Police nor Guateng Police for the Johannesburg area.

Same thing in Kenyan, are we not jumping the gun on insisting on State police. America we talk about actually vote in their police Chiefs. They are not appointed.

So we need to do a rethink as Africa is not mature enough to have a local militia that as time pass they would be a threat to the country.

Even in Nigeria before Jan,1966 ,Policing was under Local Government .

There was Federal Police that handled Inter-State crimes.

Nigerians always afraid to try something new.
They'd rather die with an old system that's not working
