Gov. Otti Dethrones A Traditional Ruler For Misconduct And Actions Unbecoming Of A Traditional Ruler In Abia

The traditional ruler of the Azumini autonomous community in Ukwa East LGA, HRM Eze Edward Ebere Eule, has been removed by the Abia State Government.

The traditional ruler, who was suspended from office by the state government in February 2024 for alleged misconduct and actions unbecoming of a traditional ruler, has been finally removed as the monarch of his community by the state government.

A press statement signed by the Abia State Commissioner for Local Government and Chieftaincy Affairs, Uzor Nwachukwu, said that Governor Alex Otti has approved the withdrawal of staff of office and certificate of recognition from Eze Eule.

The press release said that the withdrawal of the staff of office and certificate of recognition was because of the alleged refusal of Eze Ebere Eule to comply with the directives stipulated in a letter of suspension given to him on February 23, 2024, in line with the provisions of sections 12, 14 and 20 of the Abia State Traditional Rulers and Autonomous Communities Amended Number 2 Law 2018.

According to the statement by the commissioner, the removal of the traditional ruler was a result of allegations of misconduct brought against the former traditional ruler, for which the Abia State Government set up a panel of inquiry to investigate him.

The panel, the statement affirmed, indicted Eze Edward Ebere.

The statement advised the removed monarch to cease parading himself as the traditional ruler of the Azumini autonomous community and to return the staff of office and certificate of recognition issued to him within 14 days from the day of the announcement.

The statement further affirmed that all rights and privileges previously accorded to the sacked traditional ruler have been withdrawn.

Fvck around and find out.

The Okpo thought he could mess with Otti because he’s meek.

I advise Otti to make sure that any ijiot still loyal to the old order gets booted out.

Fearless man. Our governors in SW will never try such out of fear of the strike of Ogun , songo , yemoja etc.

Fake, hypocritical life style, giving high reverence to highly irresponsible, diabolical and traditional leaders with zero developmental foresight never helps. Rather it grooms more blinded followers and acculturate them to the same blind pathways.

Just fight to be a godfather in government through sword, drug peddling, touting ,voodo, and appoint governors and traditional rulers with same feathers. Then control the group of people whose culture mandated them to worship leaders ,kings and touts.

Finally, underdevelopment, killing will rage like fire , while the blind followers will take solace in attacking the good tribe who don't believe in such but believes in giving kingship to who offers good project to community and with developmental insight.

PH and many SE states are fighting such godfatherism and evil vices while SW states uphold such because of no will and fear of the godfathers guillotines. Just like sanusi sacrificed his throne for truth. Non from that side will do such.

This is a bitter truth and why some group of people are the reason while Nigeria has not developed.

Gandollar dealt with a whole Sanusi and divided the Kano Emirate and a small mushroom Eze want to mess with Otti?
Even the Oba of Benin or the Oni of Ife if they misbehave can be dealt with by the respective of their state.
Another point is, Igbo enweghi Eze (Igbos have no King)
I still remember when I was a boy, Eze Ugoenyi Eze ndi Eze (king of Kings) misbehaved and women of my community gathered and burnt his stool and staff of office at the market Square. They reminded him that Gondor has no king, Gondor needs no king

Well it depends on what you mean by peaceful. As for being organized I disagree. Only Lagos to me is developed because it was once capital territory.

Just try to navigate Kwara, Osun, Ekiti, Ogun, Ondo and shed tears. You will keep wondering what has gone wrong.

The zone was not destroyed during the war, military regime ceded majority of development from oil gain there.

They have been part of government since independent and at least more educated than north but nothing to write home about.
