Yeah for people staying in ikorodu i would recomend Gbenga at Yeye Oge Auto center/Carwash along that ogijo road...Stopped there to wash my car and found out they do auto stuffs there...I complained to him on how my camry was behaving and he test drove it then told me what was wrong, after he fixed it he has since then being my mechanic cos it wasn't a guess work...You could give him a trial has what i feel makes his work easier is he is educated and a graduate.

I was at this workshop inside LTV 8 today after reading the post from SimonTemp, I was grossly disappointed at the quality and the manner with which they do business.

1. They very much believe that when they tell you something, you must not bear your own opinion especially if it is different from theirs.
2. They become agressive and insultive when your opinion differs from theirs.
3. They are not organised. When and engineer tells you to call back at 2pm and then you call at 2pm, the next engineer you speak to will tell you something etirely diffent like "we told you to come back in 3 days time", then they DROP THE CALL ON YOU. shocked cry . That was my experience with them today, they told me you can come and pick your car if you like, we have other customers"

Please be careful not to patronise these guys, i dont want to bore you with the details, but if you feel otherwise then you may try. Thanks

I'm sorry you had this experience after you patronized them based on my recommendation.

I can't hold brief for them, but I'll suggest you try and report your experience to the owner even if you will not be patronizing them again.

I believe the owner is called Mr Kunle.

I know this thread is about auto mechanics but please permit me to add this tyre specialist:

Name: Alfa (I call him Alfa toh m'oye - meaning Smart Alfa).

Location: Beside Mobil Service Station/Mobil House, Victoria island Lagos.

Contact: 08062697059

Core competence: Wheels and tyres

Pros: He is one man I got to know by happenstance - I had a flat around in V/I and i drove into mobil service station to get my tyre fixed - nothing extraordinary;
what impressed me though was the set of equipment this guy uses and the careful procedures he follows in executing his work.
He is also calm and cool headed.
I will recommend him any day.

Cons: He comes across as a "road-side" guy - that's if you do not see his equipment or stop to have a chat with him.

@akinsdeji

I really appreciate the information you provided about the engineer that helped you out along Sango Road. I gave the same engineer a call and he was so immense fixing the car I gave him. The charges was high, but he knows his trade really well. Thanks.
