So I moved to Abuja due to nature of my Job which requires me online 24/7

I earn a moderate salary and was looking for where I'd get 24/7 power supply.

I settled for Kubwa Abuja in one new estate like that

I made my findings and made sure it was 33KVA as that's the Line the agents claim have standard Power supply.

So far so bad... I've never gotten 12Hrs/day Power here not to talk of 24/Hrs

Had to even get a Generator to meet up

Thinking of getting Solar by July

It's really disappointing a whole federal capital one needs to look for special locations before they can enjoy basic amenities like POwer supply.

How is this country not a shithole then?

If you can't give other states 24/7 power why not give the federal capital at least?

I've checked my meter and I'm in band B

They claim it comes with 16-19Hrs power per day

A big fat lie.

Why is it so difficult for NIGERIA To get 24/7 power.

People are fuckkiiiiing ready to pay as long as you give them POWER

Why is this rocket science for this country

Are we cursed?

I live in Kubwa too and this is my fifth year in kubwa...to be honest with u,this new govt has not done anything to address the power issues in the country but after money and subjecting the people into extreme pains and agony.

They used to have 22hours light in this part of Kubwa under Jonathan,16hyrs under Buhari and now under the man that knows it all,2hrs isn't even sure.

Move to Lokogoma/Apo axis.

You're getting more electricity compared to the average Nigerian

Use inverter/batteries and probably solar to supplement your electricity needs

Most of us are on band B..
Funny enough, power in Abuja wasn't as bad as it is now.. like 2yrs back you could enjoy 20hrs power supply out of 24hrs. The power situation just nosedived without warning.

Don't even near lokongoma like someone was advising that side is even worse for now. The Truth is that light every where in Abuja is messed up. Even in central area that used to have constant power is now managing. This government is worse In terms of power

It is only in Nigeria that ordinary citizen or electricity consumer is exposed to grandiose technical terms about electricity.
And yet, no light.
In other countries where things work, all an electricity consumer knows is that there is 24/7 power supply.
They know absolutely nothing about KVA, Band etc...
As for the "Are we cursed?" part ...
Well if it jumps like a frog and croaks like a frog ... it is a frog!
