I thank members of the Nigerian Institute of Estate Surveyors and Valuers (NIESV) for choosing our dear state to host its 54th Annual Conference and for their sustained partnership and collaboration with the state government, leading to the successes recorded in the last seven and a half years.

In Edo State, members of NIESV have helped us tremendously in sanitizing the built environment and the planning process – leading to our 30-year development plan and Benin City Master Plan, which is near completion.

I commend the leadership of the immediate past president of the body, Mr. Johnbull Amayaevbo, and urge the new NIESV President, Victor Adekunle Alonge, to continue from where his predecessor stopped.
