I recently saw a friend who just got a master's degree from a university in the UK, even though he never went to a university in Nigeria. When I asked him how he did it, he said he paid a lot of money for the degree. He didn't have to take any entrance exams like GRE, IELTS, or GMAT. He said it's common for people to do this, and UK schools care more about the money and the workforce Nigerians bring. I was really shocked and didn't know what to say. I feel like Nigeria is better because it's hard to get into Nigerian universities, especially Federal ones, without passing JAMB. Overall, I'm very disappointed in the UK government.

It is not about the money but about the person's intellectual capacity.

Are you saying he failed his exams during the masters program and the school gave him a certificate at the end?

You can get into a masters programme for some courses if you are in the UK with just work experience as they use that instead of a degree for those you have the interest and knowledge needed for the course gained in the workplace.

It is not what and how you got into a school but what you came out with. You will enter Nigerian university with 320 jamb score and come out worst

It's a global practice and it is also done in the US. It's for matured students who has years of working or entrepreneurship experience.

The experience can be counted for qualifications for up degrees.

Most degrees in the UK don't need an entrance exam.

He probably paid someone to write his assignments for him, not to obtain the degree. He's the corrupt one.
