A request has been made by Jimoh Ibrahim, a member of the Appropriation Committee in the Senate, for President Bola Tinubu to dissolve his cabinet and remove certain ministers.

Ibrahim expressed his concerns about the lack of expertise within the current cabinet, stating that they do not meet the country's standards and are not suitable for addressing the economic challenges faced by Nigeria since the president's inauguration.

Nigeria is currently facing complex socio-economic issues due to the policies implemented by the new administration, such as the removal of petrol subsidies and the unification of foreign exchange windows.

This has led to a significant increase in energy costs, resulting in a rise in the cost of living and unprecedented food inflation.

Despite promises made by the government to address these challenges, new policies like electricity tariff hikes and cybersecurity levies have been met with criticism from various groups.

President Tinubu, who assumed office last May, pledged to reform the economy and improve the lives of Nigerians. However, Ibrahim believes that certain ministers accused of corruption should be removed to prevent further burdens on the country.
