Soludo has standard, can't use water vendors to fill Ochanja water fountain- APGA

The All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA) has debunked the stories doing the rounds that water vendors are being used to fill the Ochanja roundabout water fountain in Onitsha.

A viral video had gone viral recently where a vendor was seeing purportedly filling the fountain with water from gallons .

This had caused the opposition call out the state governor, Prof Chukwuma Soludo, describing most of his works in the state as substandard.

Reacting to the development in a statement on Tuesday, the National Coordinator of APGA Media Warriors Forum, Chinedu Obigwe, described the opposition's propaganda as infantile.

Obigwe said,'It's childish for anybody to say that Governor Soludo uses local water vendors to fill the yet-to-be inaugurated Ochanja roundabout water fountain project.

"As at today in Anambra, Governor Soludo administration has redefined governance in our state through the delivery of dividends of good governance.

"The yet- to-be inaugurated Ochanja roundabout water fountain project is among the many wonders of Governor Soludo's administration.

"Let's not forget in a hurry that Ochanja roundabout was formerly used as a dustbin dump site by residents of the area.

"But when the wonder working Soludo came in, he promised to give Iweka road and that of Ochanja roundabout a transformational midas touch.

Continuing, Obigwe said,"As I pen down this piece , Governor Soludo has fulfilled that promise of giving Iweka road and Ochanja roundabout a transformational midas touch.

"If you go to Ochanja roundabout, you will see a water fountain and a dualised road constructed at iweka.

" It's idiotic for disgruntled opposition elements to claim that Governor Soludo is using water vendors to fill the Ochanja roundabout water fountain project.

"The Soludo that Nigerians know very well has a standard and he maintains that standard.

"The last thing Governor Soludo will do is to engage a water vendor for the filling of the yet to be inaugurated water fountain because doing such is going below his standard.

"What I am saying is verifiable because if you go to Ochanja roundabout, residents of Iweka road will tell you that the whole story of a water vendor filling the Ochanja roundabout water fountain with gallons of water is a childish blackmail orchestrated by disgruntled opposition elements.

"Sahara reporters goofed in their report in a failed attempt to give credence to the fabricated tissue of lies of Anambra disgruntled opposition elements.

The APGA Media Chief said," It's a well known fact that the Ochanja roundabout water fountain project has not been inaugurated by Governor Soludo but Sahara reporters referred to it in their report as a newly inaugurated water fountain.

"The opposition failed woefully in this their latest attempt to cast aspersion on Governor Soludo' s administration.
That Ochanja roundabout water fountain project has come to stay and it's among the many wonders of Governor Soludo's administration.

"The general public should disregard the disgruntled opposition elements numerous blackmail against Governor Soludo administration because the only thing Anambra electorate that voted for him are seeing under his watch is that he is taking the people of our beloved state to their envisaged promise land.

"Governor Soludo administration is performing wonders in all sectors of governance and Anambra people are grateful to him for what he is doing in our state."

Okay this explanation makes sense. When I saw the photos I was also guessing maybe they are testing it since it hasn't been commissioned yet.

So how do you refill water fountain? Though that water fountain was poorly constructed, you can use tanker to fill the water fountain. Water fountain is refilled the way swimming pool is refill.
