d merit cut off is 4 everybody.d locality is for d 6 southwest states.i think ui shld hav said dat all candidates with 247 and above dat choosed english shld pay 4 d pin,law 258&above,nursing238&above etc like unilorin always call 240&abov for medicine

yes, i fink dats wat dey shud hav don since dey hav our jamb results and no d cut of pts for each course b4 d reg. Than collecting money from innocent candidates lyk dat and stil nt shortlisting dem. GOD help us

@all,dont 4get dat d cut off for 1st choice may b different 4rm d 2nd choice cos there must be a variation btween 1st and 2nd choice results.example is my younga broda dat choosed law as his 1st and 2nd choice course in ui during 2008 admissn.he wastnt shortlisted durin d 1st choice admissn but was shortlisted durin d 2nd choice admissn and i later went to confirm wat happened cos we've lost hope with d cut off dat was released durin d 1st choice admissn but a man at d admissn office told me dat ui only releases d cut off 4 1st choice candidates every year cos they are d one with highest numba of applicant.i mean dat they are d main applicants and note dat there will be a lot of suprises in dis year's admissn cos a lot of pple dat hav lost hope will be shortlisted but they may fail d post utme.d cut off 4 2nd choice is always lower dan d 1st choice and ui will neva make d 2nd cut off public cos they are just minor.informatn reaching me nw is dat ELDS cut off for nursing science is 209 which means sum1 must hav come 4rm one of d xtreem northern states like yobe,borno,gombe etc am nt talkin abt kogi and kwara o

it's better to remain silent and be thought a fool than speak out and remove all doubts. Even if one has d lowest of utme scores and has been destined to be a successful ui applicant this year, insha Allah, it will never pass him by...let's keep calm and pray to God that every decision made should be in our favour. I want us all to realise something that every decision cannot favour all. Either the screening is based on utme, 0'level or both, just pray to be among the priviledged few to be chosen
