Federal capital Territory minister, Senator Bala Mohammed is allegedly defrauding his Ministry of Billions of Naira, making a profit of about N1.3 Billion from phony road contracts he awards to his front companies, whistleblowers told Pointblanknews.com

Pointblanknews.com gathered that Senator Mohammed, a boastful crony of President Goodluck Jonathan had in the last few months in office, perfected means of lining his pocket through contract inflation and had started with contract of the Kubwa Abuja Road.
Sources hinted that his Ministry’s activities became suspicious and the Senate Committee Chairman on FCT, Senator Smart Adeyemi immediately went into action to investigate.

According to our sources “recently, the Senate Committee on Federal Capital Territory (FCT) led by Senator Smart Adeyemi found massive fraud and duplication in the contract for expansion of Kubwa-Abuja Road in Abuja to the tune of N16 billion Naira. Although the matter has now been “settled” and the money shared with those “concerned parties”
The source added “despite the multitude of solid allegations of fraudulent activities, Federal Capital Territory Minister, Senator Bala Mohammed continues to enjoy his office due to his strong connections to President Goodluck Jonathan.’

Pointblanknews.com sources revealed that after reeling from the heat that came with recent big road contracts fraud, the FCT minister has now settled for making money from smaller street construction contracts that are awarded to his cronies and the money shared without drawing much attention.
According to our sources “the minister who was rattled has decided to make money from other sources that will not draw such attention. As such smaller street projects within the Abuja residential areas where there is very little awareness from relevant oversight committee is now the minister cash cow.”
The FCT’s new strategy according to sources, is to identify small streets or roads in obscure residential areas and then structure the award of contracts in part payments (contract splitting) that can be signed off by his office to trusted cronies who front for the him.

Our sources revealed that this is the case with Hamza Abdullahi Street, which was awarded to S & M Limited, a contractor that front for the FCT minister. The residential street that is less than a one sixth of a kilometer was awarded to the tuned of N1.3 billion Naira and the money quickly released to the contractor, one Ademola Solomon, who in turn allegedly shared the monies with the minister and abandoned the project.

Sources told Pointblanknews.com that the contractor who is notorious for many abandoned projects is boastful of his connections to those in power and dares anyone to question his connections. Sources closes to the minister office say the Economic and Financial Crime Commission (EFCC) is powerless in fraud matters concerning the FCT minister due to the strong connection that he has with the President.
