I need serious help here, my 2003 Nissan Maxima keeps stalling whenever I have course to reduce speed maybe at a junction or inside traffic. This use to be occasional problem before, but it is almost at every point at the moment. When I restart the engine , it behaves as if the vehicle is short of fuel and it will only start after I allow it to cool for like 2 minutes. I have serviced the nozzles already and my mechanic told me it is fuel pump which I changed promptly but all to no avail. An electricion told me it is the Air Flow(MAF) sensor while another one said it is the brain box.

I am really scared of all these experimental solutions as my purse is always at the recieving end.

Sounds like an IAC (Idle Air control Valve) issue. Pull it out and clean it with Carb cleaner and fix it back. It should solve the stalling issue, if that is the culprit. Does the engine hunt when it is idling?
