No fewer than 5,000 youths marched to the Oba of Benin palace to make home their demand. They showed their greviance and decried the low performance of the Governor Adams OshiomoleCON deputy, Dr. Pius Odubu.

One of the protesters of the group described Dr. Odubu as a “non-grata” while insisting that a new deputy would be presented to the Oba and to the Benin people. As it stands now, what might have seemed and certainly is, the total non-support to the deputy. The Vanguard comprises of 7 local governments without whose performance in any election would make the result void. This could be the end to the era of Dr. Pius Odubu.

Spokesperson to the Oba addressed the group of protesters while urging them to go about their normal duties.
