Abia State Governor Chief T.A. Orji has commended Ariaria International Market Traders Association for their decision to tar the internal roads within the market.
The Governor while receiving the patrons and stakeholders in his office in Umuahia declared that he was highly impressed with the efforts being made by the traders to complement government efforts in giving Aba a face lift.

The Chief Press Secretary to the Governor, Ugochukwu Emezue hinted that Governor T.A. Orji assured the traders that his government will stop at nothing to enhance the status of Aba, in terms of infrastructural development.
The Abia State helmsman stated that majority of road projects in the state are concentrated in Aba.

Chief T.A. Orji stated that he will not look back in ensuring that Aba the commercial nerve centre wears a new look before the end of the dry season.
The Governor also disclosed that Ukwu Mango Area around Ariaria which has remained a problematic spot will soon receive serious attention to enable traffic flow within that axis.

He also disclosed that the drainage around the place is being opened.
Speaking further the Abia State helmsman told the traders that their request for a good contractor to handle the road projects within the market will be looked into, even as government will nominate its officials to ensure strict adherence to lay down standards.
In his response the Chairman of the traders association Stanley Ijeomah applauded the Governor for the good work he is doing in Aba especially in the area of road construction and reconstruction.

He said their decision to build the road is to show their support for the Governor whom they described as a “Performer”.
The Special Adviser to the Governor on Political Matters Chief Tony Ukasanya also applauded the traders for their initiative which he said others should emulate.
