Modern Organised Informal Agricultural Buyers Necessary In Nigerian IFS by osdagric(m): 7:57pm On Dec 13, 2011
Dear Fellow,

The informal food Sector (IFS) can never die no matter how marginalized and oppressed. IFS simply means a supply chain that is overlooked by the formal sector. The sector misses formal registrations. Neither with the MAN, SMEDAN or any body what soever. They are on their own.

IFS actors are found almost everywhere. Streets, schools, bus stops, road sides, etc. It is the easiest place to go when you need to get your hunger trashed. Actors include small scale food vendors, restaurants, hawkers, etc. The sector is simply too resilient even for local or global meltdowns!

One problem, nay opportunity, is that the sector needs informal entrepreneurs to make it move as the market moves. Market shift is damn too rapid for the existing players in the filed and needs new breeds of players to get involved.

Clearly speaking, I mean, there is big business in becoming an agricultural buyer in the IFS. The IFS in Nigeria can accommodate more enterprising youths,.Kudos to low cost ICT tools available to these Nigerian Youths. You may not even need up to N10,000.00 to get stated as an IFS Buyer. You simply needs more of your mental capitalism, moral uprightness, and mutually inclusive profit-making.

How to become an IFS Buyer:
1. Passion for agriculture and agro-entrepreneurship. You need to be an environmental genius (Courtesy of Howard Gardner, Professor of Multiple Intelligence) if you hope to even think along this line at all. For me, I think agriculture every day, every time every where. I even think agriculture when reading novels.

2. Strong believe in  God and his endowments in your life. This will make you over come your limitations and alibis/ fears. (fear of no money, no helper, no business etc). In you is something sleeping that must be awaken. God is not partial in that He made you to come from humble, penny-less backgrounds. He simply gave you gifts that you knew not about yet. Your job is to find those latent talent from where they lie buried.

3. Serious love for market, other market people and how market works in your area. You need to get pro-active. Stop seeing the dark side of life. See good days also. The only one that should get distressed is a sinner, a wicked person. If you are doing evils, you have every reason to be afraid of God and "avengers of blood". Common, quit sin and turn to God who doesn't allow fear in His children. Perfect love casts out fear (Fear brings bondage).

Love will help you not to cut corners, even online. Love will help you to think of others as you try to make profit. You will like to make money only when you have offered valuable services. Love gives, gives and gives.  Only God brings love to warm our hearts. Love contributes to its area. Love will help you in this business. That is the wonders of God that I have discovered in this business model

Also, you need to know the principle of demand and supply in general and how it practically affect your area; in particular. In fact, if this does not interest you, it means this business is either not for you at all or you need more help to show its leveraging power to you. What I am saying is that these Core Market indicators are the Major and real leverages you need to take you to higher level in this IFS buying business

4. A bit of basic internet skills : at least email will do. The fact that you are even reading this from a forum platform shows me you have what IT exposure it takes to get started.

5. Participation in a good business network that works on the principle of integrity, win-win and mutual business relationship developed for long time benefits. Like attracts like. Dubious people get into dubious relationships or networks. Birds of same feather flocks together. No wonder, The bible says the wicked, though hand join hands, will not go unpunished

I meet so many people that hate collaboration or relationship that is focused and serious. They simply love to be alone. I need to let such know that the world is really realizing that we are not made to isolate but to collaborate. When next time you hear development experts talk about 'group entrepreneurship', you had better started finding out how to apply its leverage in your life as a poor man or woman with little or no resources to call your own

Now, this type of business community or network will make it easy to use the law of synergy, organization and collaboration. What you alone can not do, the whole of us can help you get it done in a twinkle of an eye.

Please,
if you really wants to be a buyer of pigs, vegetables, you are needed by one of my farmers.

Tomorrow (Wednesday 14/12/ 2011 ), I will be moving some water melon to Ondo State to supply some of our buyers. We need sellers and buyers from anywhere in Nigeria. Our markets only requires grade 1 and perhaps, some grade 2.

Let me first say thanks to you all on this GREAT FORUM.

I QUICKLY HAVE TO ADD THIS: The IFS opportunity is not for everyone. It is not a one-size-fit-all opportunity that suits everyone .However,it is the type that can keep its actors happy in the long run. It can create more income, more interest of youths in Food security, and can make entrepreneurs smile to bank.

The IFS opportunity is simple, even stark illiterates who are enterprising knows how to tag along in the line. I know those women who have built their own houses just from being active in the sector.

ABILITIES + PASSIONS + ACTION + DIVINE PARTNERSHIP= YOUR NEXT OPPORTUNITY
While the core  ABILITIES you need in this field include healthy dose of  self confidence  and curiosity; the passions that will fuel them , and give impetus to these God-given abilities  include ANGER!  DISSATISFACTION!! and TOTAL DISAGREEMENT!!! with your current situation. It doesn't matter where you are born or what limits you are born with, once you have the basic points I mentioned above, and you rise up to take actions in the full strength given to you, with God on your side, you will make it in the sector. All these will make the ship loaded with your next opportunity to berth at your port

FINALLY, TAKE ACTION!!. You need to go beyond mere agreement. You need to think of action taking. You may need to get to my blog to be able to see further help along this line. Others area ready getting into action

i will like to first appreciate your courage to think deep, agriculture has been a driving force in any growing economy,we failed to realise that we need to be stomach filled to think straight in this part of the world.i will like to be part of the changing tool in any form to make agriculture a prominent tool in creating food and jobs for people.i allways have flair for exportation of agricultural products and also creating a space for food circulation in the system if lectured on how to go about it.i will like to know more about the informal agricultural process and see how i can participate in the growth. tiano_uni@yahoo.com,m_adol@yahoo.com

Dear Blessed Nairalist,

Permit me to share in the joy of this festive season with you and yours. I praise the Lord for His kindness towards you and me. My prayer is that God will remember us all for good in Nigeria. Amen

I have been stunned by the Number of people expressing their interest in this IFS issue. Believe you me, I am seriously humbled by the caliber of people and even businesses that are expressing their interest in fully understanding this topic so they can take smart decisions about it.

Let me say this, the structure of IFS is largely based on old, rigid and conservative system that require a radical, sustainable and yet, very careful overhauling lest the market is unduly upturned. Pointedly, the current actors are mainly too old, or too busy to know that market is ever shifting and that serious waves of market revolution is coming southwards (i.e developing nations are referred to as "South" in international market parlance ). Not to sound undue alarmist, market participation by new breed of Nigerian youths may be a step in the right direction towards shifting to capture incoming market opportunities, especially in the IFS sector.

To put all these in a workable framework is the reason why I am advocating that you visit my blog to see how to get started. First, as rightly requested by my two pragmatic and lovely commentators above (adolmax and efisher), proper understanding of the issue is at high stake. This is why you need to visit the blog and enlist for regular updates to be delivered straight into your inbox as soon as I broadcast them to those who enlist to learn the IFS Market and how it works.

So, the first action is to learn and fully understand the sector. And I am determined to start distilling my field knowledge to those who love to learn. And it is exclusive for those on my list to get the update.

Once again, thanks be to God for making you and I to see the end of 2011. See you prospering as you act on what you learn

Dear Friends,
THERE IS A DYNAMITE IN ACTIVE CITIZENS OF EVEN THE POOREST NATION

First let me first thank God for your life and the privilege of being preserved till today. In less than 48 hours, we will be matching to 2012.Among the 6 or so poor regions of the world, Sub Sahara Africa, with Nigeria as a major state, is reportedly the worst in terms of achieving the jointly signed UN Millennium Development Goals in the year 2000.

Just yesterday, I read of ravaging hunger currently afflicting millions of people in some African countries. Thousands have lost their lives to food insecurity! In fact, tonight, more than 90 million will go to bed without food in their belly!! And yet Africa has what it takes to be the world's food basket if only we'll roll up our sleeves, get ready to sweat to organize and make the food chain our priority again. And today's youth can not afford to keep watching the football matches of food secure nations while our highly vulnerable elder and younger generations go to their graves with curses on their lips.

Anytime I remember this common MDGoal 1 of halving poverty and its 2015 deadline, and the lackadaisical attitudes of Nigerian citizens and state( same goes for other Sub Saharan Africa), coupled with the contrasting seriousness of other equally poor but goal-oriented and active regions of the world such as south-east Asia, I cry to God for a special grace to buy back our wasted time and opportunities. We are damn too cold for comfort! Indifference is a terrible virus in our midst. Once while doing research for a masters student, i stumbled at a psychological statement "Everybody's problem is nobody's problem". i think that is what is plaguing us here and now in Nigeria. But there is hope among us.

You may likely think the governments of those serious regions are solely responsible for their higher successes towards the MDGs. A thousand No!! Rather, it is a rare synergy of active citizens and active state that is producing the results that are reportedly coming from those regions. ACTIVE PEOPLE AND GOVERNMENT WILL BRING HOPE

And so, I am highly grateful to God for your interest in this transformation project. I am deeply impressed by your readiness to make a mark in your neighborhood and nation at large. It shows we equally are blessed with active citizens in Nigeria. And i salute your courage in times like this. Even though you may look small, god can really work by your little strength to bring glory to Himself. Experts in development believe that global trends usually begin from grassroots people and later snowball to global scale. I believe that you are in a good group. What is starting small through you and me is destined to grow global in Jesus name.

Let me restate my commitment to work with people like you to bring about massive change in the Informal Food Sector. We have a proven, tested, and sustainable system on ground that would make us achieve our aim. We have to do things systematically and orderly to get to somewhere. Let me quote to you the words of David Starr Jordan which i learn't many years ago while working in the youth ministry, "The whole world step aside for the man who knows where he is going". We shall scale every huddles to get to where we are going in Jesus Name. Amen.

Come 2012, by the grace of God, we shall go into action; not day dreaming under empty clouds of rhetoric. If you are ready for coordinated actions towards helping IFS, as a market entrepreneur, to grow sustainably, then you are welcome on board.

Once again, Happy New year in Advance!! You are all special to me!!

you can start instant action by getting into the blog below immediately
Re: Modern Organised Informal Agricultural Buyers Necessary In Nigerian IFS by osdagric(m): 4:49pm On Jan 03, 2012
Dear Nairalist,

Happy New Year to you ALL!! This is a year to allow God to guide, lead, teach, and help us. without Him, let us know we can do nothing.

Never forget that informal food sector (IFS) is a good market for those who cared a hoot about making your livelihoods from change making business. As from next week Friday, 13th January 2012, we begin SERIES OF COORDINATED ACTIONS towards making this business model work sustainably and at low-cost methodology.

The first step towards this organization is the Online registration and Training of Personnel Finders who will be the Local Coordinators of this project in their cities. At this juncture, let me make a radical clarifications about this first step. While conducting assessment of this PERSONNEL FINDER BUSINESS training with some sampled trainees under face 2 face mode,to see how it will be understood, I was able to get a feed back that a change of name may be helpful towards getting the full understanding of what we are up to. To get this sample learners, I had to pick on very slow learners that I really know (Please, I mean no fun here at all; my heart is to really be sure what goes off from me here gets to your human farm: your head, your heart, your hands).

So, let me here change my hitherto Tag"PERSONNEL FINDER" to "LOCAL DISTRIBUTION COORDINATOR". So, from hence forth the training is tagged "Complete Online Training for Local Distribution Coordinators ". While I make haste to say that the content of this training remains the same unchanged at all, it is only the nomenclature that got reformed just for ease of understanding for expected attendee. It is still free for those who qualify before Friday 13. (Registered and approved people on our network can easily access it in their Gmail Accounts beginning from 7pm on that day, god willing. So, if you are yet to apply, go to my blog below now and register at once ).

Another issue is that we want the best to participate in this project. We are going to screen the participants. And so if you have interest in taking this action course from your email box, you will need to check my blog fast and do what is outlined there before 5pm on Thursday 12th January 2012. That is enough for now.

Once again, happy new year.
