A Peoples Democratic Party governorship aspirant in Edo State, Mr. Kenneth Imasuagbon, on Tuesday in Benin, distribute of rice to prospective voters in the state by through campaign organisation. Imasuagbon, who was at the state PDP secretariat on Sapele Road, to formally declare his intention to vie for the party’s governorship ticket for the 2012 election, attributed the hunger inflicted on the people by the ACN-led government in the state. "Young men and women are suffering and that is why we decided to fight for food"

State chairman of the party, Chief Dan Orbih, in a response commended the aspirant for his efforts and gave assurance of a free and fair primary.

Orbih said, “I want to assure you that as far as the exercise is concerned, I guarantee that there will be free and fair primaries for the Edo State PDP governorship ticket.”
