Why Is It That Some Church Leaders Have Not Been Speaking Out Over Boko Haram? by Dandas: 9:27am On Dec 28, 2011
I noticed that since the Boko Haram issue started, some of our church leaders, even the prominent ones in the Society have been keeping mute .Surprisingly also, since the Xmas bomb blast in Catholic church at Madalla,Niger state,i have been reading some condemnation comments by many people but are yet to see condemnation comments from some eminent church leaders despite the fact that the blast exploded in a church irrespective of denominations, they all are christians.I begin to ask does it mean that these people are all equally afraid of Boko Haram not to strike to their churches?.As far as the God liveth,Cant we call a Spade by its name?,cant we speak out without being afraid when an issue like this is happening in this country?.Is that what the bible tells us?

It only shows that when push comes to shove the pastors themselves do not believe in what they teach. Boko haram does not understand touch not my annointed and they are not afraid to die. If Adeboye and co realy believe in what they preach, they will condemn the attack and dare the bombers.

What should the pastors say about Boko Haram? I think remaining silent is the best response. Boko Haram are unbelievers, they will not listen to pastors. What can happen is that the pastors can open a war of words and inflame the situation.

The Christian response should be prayer. If any of you have Muslim friends, remain quiet and act as if it doesn't bother you. If they bring it up, use it as an opportunity to preach the gospel of love. This is how Muslims can be won over to the truth and not by engaging them on their violent religion. They will argue that it is a "religion of peace" -which is a lie. True Muslims are violent. True Christians are peaceful.

But that fraudster that calls himself a bishop (Oledepo) cursed boko haram a couple of months ago when they bombed one of his business centres (wrongly called church). Obviously the charlatan's curse is of no effect for boko haram to be waxing stronger after his empty curses. Yet his moronic members on nairaland have joined their charlatan bishop in dishing out empty curses to all those who speak against or expose Oledepo for the fraud he is.

@ pastor kun. How would you feel if your father is called a fraudster? You are the fraudster cos you are the con man disguising as a pastor. why did you pick on the bishop? @ poster, you are a stranger to the life of the christian, we do our talking first on our knees and talk at the right time. we are all angry at the demonic killing but mere talk will not stop this. better deal with them on your knees then your talk can come.
