So far revolution aptly called Arab Spring has swept strong men like Brother Leader Gadaffi (Libya), Mubarak (Egypt) and Ben Ali (Tunisia) out of power. Then Saleh (Yemen) is on his way out and remarkably so on his own terms. Despite all year resistance and protests against his rule, Bashar al-Assad has somehow weathered the storm and of course will still be president at the end of 2011. Will he still be there come December 2012? Is he in a way teaching the world a new trick on how to suppress revolution?
