It is no longer breaking news that the Nigerian Labour congress (NLC), Trade Union Congress (TUC) and other civil society groups are on the verge of embarking on strike from Monday, January 9, 2012. Expectedly, the Federal Government would want to prevent this from happening and what better way than through a Presidential broadcast that will appeal to the minds and sensitivity of Nigerians. The broadcast was live on air this evening, Saturday, January 7, 2012 on NTA network and syndicated on AIT and Channels TV and I have made an attempt to capture what was said.
