THREE IMPORTANT QUESTIONS To Those Of You Who STILL Think Fuel Subsidy Removal is good!!
1) At the town-hall meeting, SANUSI LAMIDO and co. stated categorically that we can't sustain fuel subsidy because we can't keep BORROWING to sustain it. Our economy will crash that way! Obviously it means we don't have the money for it because we have been BORROWING! Now, tell me, what money are they REINVESTING? The money doesn't exist, so wot are they telling you we will re-invest? Have you been SCAMMED?!

2) We all agree there is NOTHING WRONG with fuel subsidy! However, what we are spending on it today is TOO MUCH for the nation's economy to bear. But we know that the only reason it is too much is because of CORRUPTION! So we say eliminate or at least reduce the corruption of the so-called CABAL! The Govt says they CAN NOT and the best way is to remove it entirely let Nigerians bear the burden! THE QUESTION IS, even if the money existed, what is to say that they CAN now PREVENT the CORRUPTION IN THE GOVT that will now reinvest this 'imaginary money' if they COULD NOT stop the Govt-aided CABAL?!! Is it Magic?

3) Okonjo-Iweala and her cohorts claimed at the townhall meeting and put up several ads in the media that the POOR DO NOT enjoy the subsidy because they do not go and buy fuel from the filling stations! Don't they realise that the old woman in the village that buys a product that was transported with a vehicle that uses fuel HAS ENJOYED the SUBSIDY because the cost of the product which depends partly on the cost of transportation has therefore been subsidised? If the govt can't grasp that SIMPLE economic concept, shouldn't we be WORRIED??

And they also tell you that a reason to remove subsidy is because prices in NEIGHBOURING countries are higher than our own!

So does that mean that our price has to be at par with our neighbours ALWAYS so that people will not smuggle?

So we plan to deregulate and competition would bring prices DOWN? Prices would GO DOWN? REALLY? So by then the smuggling will go an right?

Isn't it OBVIOUS therefore that you should not remove subsidy because our prices are lower than neighbours, thereby encouraging smuggling. Rather we should endeavour to put in measures to tighten our borders and reduce the Menance!!!

1. Yes, I think it is a good move. You can't keep borrowing to pay for lootocracy. kiss Nigerians DO NOT have the brain power to service cheesy 'borrowed' debt.

2. Yes, corruption and lack of security to power foreign investment drives. . . are the main problems with Nigeria and Nigerians NOT SUBSIDY REMOVAL.

3. Okonjo-Iwaela worked in a civilized world. . . her 'mathematics' does not rhyme with Nigerian 'jagbajantis'. . . .she used the wrong formula to solve the wrong problem.

Everyone suffers. EQUALLY. The so-called 'rich' cannot afford the poor servants who depend on okadas to take care of their children. Now, Oga will learn to wash his own car and Madam will learn to drive herself. The children will cook their own food for a change. Everyone will make one sacrifice or another. . . BUT CAN THE UNPRINCIPLED, LAZY NIGERIANS UNDERSTAND?

Gbese Nation!!!! Nothing to show for it! At least America get roads, water and light.

You have just hit the nail on the head.
My question is, why are we have this fuel subsidy palava now, something we had never had problem with ever since if not that jonathan is corrupt. why did jonathan refuse to speak out when we exceeded of hit the amount we budgetted for subsidy so that investigation can commense on how we got to that figure instead he allow the money to get to 1.3trillion before crying out. that is where corruption comes in.
I have always said this, nigerians deserve the leaders they get. We have 4 refineries we had less cash as a nation and Buhari built 3, no president has ever fix or built new refinery now that we are 10times richer than the way we were before now. its really a shame, that goes to show that buhari is one the best president we ever had. He is a man i have never heard any scandal being leveled against him, the best man that can kead us to better 2moro, based on his record but nigerians kept deaf ears because of "i have no shoes, if i can make it, u can make it." he had no shoes when fuel was less than 70k per litre, now he is asking us to pay 150 per litre.

Why do we have this problem now?
Because it took a smart Northerner in the name of Sanusi to speak up against your 'borrowing' madness in Nigeria. . .Okonjo-Iwaela too! Glad Jonathan agreed. Enough of your 'borrowing' madness' with NOTHING TO SHOW FOR IT! kiss
There is going to be bloodshed alright. . .the real cleansing Nigeria needs. Too bad it is going to be starvation that will cause it.

Thank God for subsidy removal. . . CRUNCH TIME! grin

God bless America!!!! cool

GOD BLESS SANUSI!!!

cool cool cool cool cool cool cool

GEJ should follow the rule of law and work with the national assembly who are still verifying the lies of the cabal - ngozi, sanusi and the rest.
