This is a widespread appeal to men and women of the Nigerian Armed Forces to put an end to this misguided attempt at democracy led by Jonathan.

All indications suggest such attempt would enjoy widespread appeal provided their basic agenda includes.

1. Outlawing the corruption prone Presidential system and reverting the country to a parliamentary democracy within 10 months.

2. All parliament members are part-time workers with no salary, only attendance benefits that must not exceed 5 times the minimum wage, and absolutely no benefits.

3. Power is devolved to the regions and 100% resource control with all regions paying taxes to the feds.

4. All government appointees salaries and allowances is pecked to that of the highest paid civil servant including the prime minister.

Once again to the men of the Army, we support you.

The Idea will definitely be crushed by Nigerians and the international community!

Very very unacceptable.

It is simply sacrilege at this point.

If some sections of the country want military rule they can request for independence and go into full blown dictatorship if they like!

NO!!! As in capital letters. We dont need military to send GEJ back to his villa in Bayelsa. All we need is unity to fight a common enemy.

It is obvious that Jonathan is very confused. It is a matter of time, Military will return with strict conditions.
Because of senseless corruption by politicians, Boko Haram, Indiscipline, and fuel subsidy not so bright decision, USA and mostly European countries will support a temporary military take over.
Re: Calling On The Army To Topple The Government! by Nobody: 1:58am On Jan 13, 2012
military takeovers are never temporary. Look at precedents before you bury your head in the sand

If we must have a Rawlings to clean up the system, then the military must come back, but the military can't be trusted with governance, though Nigeria needs a IRON HAND.

op looks like you are suffering from amnesia - is IBB not an ex military man, how about OBJ? what did they do for the nigerian people? Didnt nigeria run up 90% of its debts under these two animals? Didnt nigeria adopt and implement SAP under IBB's watch - listen the people are the only hope now and by that i mean the grassroots people have to stage a people's revolution - that is the only way out of this mess, the big problem is how do you stage a revolution against these criminals without arms?

Also forget about looking to america or europe for help because they are backign GEJ to the hilt.

@op, I don't know you but I suggest you bow your head in shame. You finally have a chance to change things and this is what you come up with? For shame, please ask the @Moderators to delete this pathetic admission by your person that you are not worth giving the chance to vote for freedom of choice.

Aftermath of NAFDAC failure! Cheap, fake drugs everywhere; only God knows those that are still sane in the country.

lol sometimes i wonder how some people think on this forum. As you stated that the majority of the debt and bad policies were
done during the tenure of IBB & OBJ. People have such short memories or non and low attention spans and suffer
from tunnel vision without seeing the wider Geo-political picture.
Re: Calling On The Army To Topple The Government! by Nobody: 4:10pm On Jan 14, 2012
@ OP, i doubt if you are a nigerian.

Coup? no!
Seriously, are you joking or what? an act like that will only take us back and to the precipice of dissolution.
Though "peaceful dissolution" may be a better alternative to the killings in the north.
