Developing Story 2:Militants Surround Oil Platforms

Some militants have surrounded oil platforms in Delta and Rivers States following a threat of strike by PENGASSAN over the fuel subsidy crisis.


THISDAY learnt that in anticipation of the strike, the militants are positioning themselves to pump the crude oil, obviously for illegal trading.


Illegal trade in crude has been a flourishing business in the Niger Delta for decades.

hmmm, personally i feel the anticipated division of Nigeria may be orchestrated by external forces who know the potential of this nation if it is united. My guy the issues at hand goes beyond these people u just mentioned,it has to do with some unseen forces that want to ensure GEJ government crumbles and I am at home with any politricks used by GEJ to checkmate this vultures

This " Geographical Entity" ( Nigeria ), can NEVER be a nation, neither will there be peace. They should do what is RIGHT ( DISINTERGRATION ) & do it peacefully. Apparently, his confidence & bargaining tools are OIL & MILITANTS, typical myopic african, if he can't have his way, let Nigeria disintergrate, he has no clue about GOVERNANCE & LEADERSHIP, simply accept it & listen to them that knows. Smh, it was not political when the same Bakare mobilized thousands, protesting that Jonathan should be made the President, you can be in support of subsidy, but don't say is political. People having been calling for military intervention, rite from OBJ, days, when Yar'dua, absconded, people called for military too, what's the difference now?

Are the militants surrounding the oil platforms to protect them? Or are they hoping to vandalize the pipes and collect some crude?

One can never know what's in a man's heart/mind until he has acted.

I also learnt PENGASSAN has stayed action on the oil production shut down till Wednesday.
