To justify N97/liter, FG & its supporters have said, “If we don’t remove fuel subsidy, Nigeria will collapse like Greece!” Really? Let’s do quick, basic but relevant comparison: 1. GDP per Capita: Greece $28,000 vs Nigeria $2,500 (1,020% worse!) 2. Unemployment: Greece 18% vs Nigeria 47% (29 basis points worse!) 3. Avg Salary/Yr: Greece $24,000 vs Nigeria $1,000 (2,300% worse!) 4. Minimum Wage/Mth: Greece $1,000 vs Nigeria $113 (785% worse!) 5. Pop Below Poverty: Greece 20% vs Nigeria 64% (44 basis points worse!) 6. Uninterrupted Power: Greece “Yes” vs Nigeria “No” (Unbearably worse!) 7. Security: Greece “Yes” vs Nigeria “No” (Fearfully worse!) 8. Quality Education: Greece “Yes” vs Nigeria “No” (Shockingly worse!) 9. Infrastructure: Greece “Yes” vs Nigeria “No” (Dauntingly worse!) Tell jonagoat that he should reduce recurrent expenditure to 60% as against 72% that it is in the 2012 appropriation so that Nigeria will not collapse. Tell him that the Greek president doesn't eat with 1billion naira per annum Tell him that the member of parliament in Greece doesn't earn as much as $1.7million annually |

We all know that these labour peeps are sell-out. It takes a bunch of brainless id!ots to trust them. That's why Igbo traders refused to join them from day one of their mass hysteria. In their little mind, they think that they won in the standoff with Jona. It has always been their pattern all the years. First, they will inflame people's emotion with their comments. Then exploit the anger of the masses. Only for them to go to the back and cut deal with the govt. Leaving the stup!d masses high and dry. Too bad that some folks sacrificed their life in this id!ocy. Seriously Jonathan won this battle by 50%.( 65/2= N32+N65=N97/litre) He succeeded in increasing the price of petrol from N65/litre to N97/litre. Dont think you Nigerians won by thinking he reduced the price from N141/litre to N97/litre |
