That's why i love the Shari'ah law but not the fraudulent way it's been practised by the so called northern leaders. In Shari'ah law, leaders of a nation (be it the president, governors, ambassadors, LG chairmen, senators etc) cannot apportion any benefit to themselves from the national treasury/federation account MORE THAN ONCE until all the citizens of that nation have also benefited at least ONCE too. In simple terms this means that the president or governor or ambassador cannot send their second child to school with govt funds (they can send their child to school with their personal salary and not from the budget) until all Nigerian parents with children have been able to send at least one child to school; The president cannot use public funds to buy his family a second house until all Nigerian families can afford at least one house; The president cannot use public funds to feed his family on a second meal until all Nigerians have eaten a first meal; The president cannot use public funds to buy a second private jet until all Nigerians can afford at least one jet; The president cannot use public funds to sew himself a second cloth until all Nigerians can afford at least one dress; and so on and so on. Afterall why should the president of Nigeria and residents of Aso Rock be portraying wealth and spleandor when the owners of the wealth (the Nigerian masses) are living in penury and misery. In short shari'ah simple implies that a leader that cannot provide certain benefits for his citizens should himself not enjoy that benefit, afterall, the money belongs to the masses? |

The real issue here is if the money is actually being spent on the ambassadors kids! TBH I don't think so- like everything else in 9je we will huff, puff, roll our eyes and forget about it!! |

Well its all part of the ambassadors perks of office. The children get free education and allowances also. Am talking from experience as the child of a former ambassador. We went to the best schools and had a chauffeur driven mercedes to take us. Plus 2 other cars just for us with their drivers. I still remember thinking why our drivers werent Nigerian, dey were all Indians, Pakis and Filipinos. Am sure its like dat across all Nigerian embassies worldwide. Why cant dey employ nigerians? |

yes the Government covers education and housing and other things for diplomats , what else do you expect ? its not like they get outrageous salaries to cover those expenses. fact is they are hard working and earn descent salaries . |
