Isaiah 6:1-13
IN the year that king Ozias died, I saw the Lord sitting upon a throne high and elevated: and his train filled the temple.
Upon it stood the seraphims: the one had six wings, and the other had six wings: with two they covered his face, and with two they covered his feet, and with two they flew. And they cried one to another, and said: Holy, holy, holy, the Lord God of hosts, all the earth is full of his glory.
And the lintels of the doors were moved at the voice of him that cried, and the house was filled with smoke.
And I said: Woe is me, because I have held my peace; because I am a man of unclean lips, and I dwell in the midst of a people that hath unclean lips, and I have seen with my eyes the King the Lord of hosts.
And one of the seraphims flew to me, and in his hand was a live coal, which he had taken with the tongs off the altar.
And he touched my mouth, and said: Behold this hath touched thy lips, and thy iniquities shall be taken away, and thy sin shall be cleansed.
And I heard the voice of the Lord, saying: Whom shall I send? and who shall go for us? And I said: Lo, here am I, send me.
And he said: Go, and thou shalt say to this people: Hearing, hear, and understand not: and see the vision, and know it not.
Blind the heart of this people, and make their ears heavy, and shut their eyes: lest they see with their eyes, and hear with their ears, and understand with their heart, and be converted and I heal them.
And I said: How long, O Lord? A[b]nd he said: Until the cities be wasted without inhabitant, and the houses without man, and the land shall be left desolate.[/b]
And the Lord shall remove men far away, and she shall be multiplied that was left in the midst of the earth.
And there shall be still a tithing therein, and she shall turn, and shall be made a show as a turpentine tree, and as an oak that spreadeth its branches: that which shall stand therein, shall be a holy seed."

Ezekiel 1:1-28
"Now it came to pass in the thirtieth year, in the fourth month, on the fifth day of the month, when I was in the midst of the captives by the river Chobar, the heavens were opened, and I saw the visions of God.
On the fifth day of the month, the same was the fifth year of the captivity of king Joachin,
The word of the Lord came to Ezechiel the priest the son of Bud in the land of the Chaldeans, by the river Chobar: and the hand of the Lord was there upon him.
And I saw, and behold a whirlwind came out of the north: and a great cloud, and a fire infolding it, and brightness was about it: and out of the midst thereof, that is, out of the midst of the fire, as it were the resemblance of amber:
And in the midst thereof the[b] likeness of four living creatures: and this was their appearance: there was the likeness of a man in them.
Every one had four faces, and every one four wings.[/b]
Their feet were straight feet, and the sole of their foot was like the sole of a calf's foot, and they sparkled like the appearance of glowing brass.
And they had the hands of a man under their wings on their four sides: and they had faces, and wings on the four sides,
And the wings of one were joined to the wings of another. They turned not when they went: but every one went straight forward.
And as for the likeness of their faces: there was the face of a man, and the face of a lion on the right side of all the four: and the face of an ox, on the left side of all the four: and the face of an eagle over all the four.
And their faces, and their wings were stretched upward: two wings of every one were joined, and two covered their bodies:
And every one of them went straight forward: whither the impulse of the spirit was to go, thither they went: and they turned not when they went.
And as for the likeness of the living creatures, their appearance was like that of burning coals of fire, and like the appearance of lamps. This was the vision running to and fro in the midst of the living creatures, a bright fire, and lightning going forth from the fire.
And the living creatures ran and returned like flashes of lightning.
Now as I beheld the living creatures, there appeared upon the earth by the living creatures one wheel with four faces.
And the appearance of the wheels, and the work of them was like the appearance of the sea: and the four had all one likeness: and their appearance and their work was as it were a wheel in the midst of a wheel.
When they went, they went by their four parts: and they turned not when they went.
The wheels had also a size, and a height, and a dreadful appearance: and the whole body was full of eyes round about all the four.
And when the living creatures went, the wheels also went together by them: and when the living creatures were lifted up from the earth, the wheels also were lifted up with them.
Whithersoever the spirit went, thither as the spirit went the wheels also were lifted up withal, and followed it: for the spirit of life was in the wheels.
When those went these went, and when those stood these stood, and when those were lifted up from the earth, the wheels also were lifted up together, and followed them: for the spirit of life was in the wheels.
And over the heads of the living creatures was the likeness of the firmament, as the appearance of crystal terrible to behold, and stretched out over their heads above.
And under the firmament were their wings straight, the one toward the other, every one with two wings covered his body, and the other was covered in like manner.
And I heard the noise of their wings, like the noise of many waters, as it were the voice of the most high God: when they walked, it was like the voice of a multitude, like the noise of an army, and when they stood, their wings were let down.
For when a voice came from above the firmament, that was over their heads, they stood, and let down their wings.
And above the firmament that was over their heads, was the likeness of a throne, as the appearance of the sapphire stone, and upon the likeness of the throne, was a likeness as of the appearance of a man above upon it.And I saw as it were the resemblance of amber as the appearance of fire within it round about: from his loins and upward, and from his loins downward, I saw as it were the resemblance of fire shining round about.
As the appearance of the rainbow when it is in a cloud on a rainy day: this was the appearance of the brightness round about."

Exodus 33:16 - 34:10
"For how shall we be able to know, I and thy people, that we have found grace in thy sight, unless thou walk with us, that we may be glorified by all people that dwell upon the earth?
And the Lord said to Moses: This word also, which thou hast spoken, will I do: for thou hast found grace before me, and thee I have known by name.
And he said: Shew me thy glory.
He answered: I will shew thee all good, and I will proclaim in the name of the Lord before thee: and I will have mercy on whom I will, and I will be merciful to whom it shall please me.
And again he said: Thou canst not see my face: for man shall not see me and live.
And again he said: Behold there is a place with me, and thou shalt stand upon the rock.
And when my glory shall pass, I will set thee in a hole of the rock, and protect thee with my right hand, till I pass:
And I will take away my hand, and thou shalt see my back parts: but my face thou canst not see.
And after this he said: Hew thee two tables of stone like unto the former, and I will write upon them the words which were in the tables, which thou brokest.
Be ready in the morning, that thou mayst forthwith go up into mount Sinai, and thou shalt stand with me upon the top of the mount.
Let no man go up with thee: and let not any man be seen throughout all the mount: neither let the oxen nor the sheep feed over against it.
Then he cut out two tables of stone, such as had been before: and rising very early he went up into the mount Sinai, as the Lord had commanded him, carrying with him the tables.
And when the Lord was come down in a cloud, Moses stood with him, calling upon the name of the Lord.
And when he passed before him, he said: O the Lord, the Lord God, merciful and gracious, patient and of much compassion, and true,
Who keepest mercy unto thousands: who takest away iniquity, and wickedness, and sin, and no man of himself is innocent before thee. Who renderest the iniquity of the fathers to the children, and to the grandchildren, unto the third and fourth generation.
And Moses making haste, bowed down prostrate unto the earth, and adoring,
Said: If I have found grace in thy sight: O Lord, I beseech thee, that thou wilt go with us, (for it is a stiffnecked people,) and take away our iniquities and sin, and possess us.
The Lord answered: I will make a covenant in the sight of all. I will do signs such as were never seen upon the earth, nor in any nation: that this people, in the midst of whom thou art, may see the terrible work of the Lord which I will do."

Revelation 1:11-20
"I was in the spirit on the Lord's day, and heard behind me a great voice, as of a trumpet,
Saying: What thou seest, write in a book, and send to the seven churches which are in Asia, to Ephesus, and to Smyrna, and to Pergamus, and to Thyatira, and to Sardis, and to Philadelphia, and to Laodicea.
And I turned to see the voice that spoke with me. And being turned, I saw seven golden candlesticks:
And in the midst of the seven golden candlesticks, one like to the Son of man, clothed with a garment down to the feet, and girt about the paps with a golden girdle.
And his head and his hairs were white, as white wool, and as snow, and his eyes were as a flame of fire,
And his feet like unto fine brass, as in a burning furnace. And his voice as the sound of many waters.
And he had in his right hand seven stars. And from his mouth came out a sharp two edged sword: and his face was as the sun shineth in his power.
And when I had seen him, I fell at his feet as dead. And he laid his right hand upon me, saying: Fear not. I am the First and the Last,
And alive, and was dead, and behold I am living for ever and ever, and have the keys of death and of hell.
Write therefore the things which thou hast seen, and which are, and which must be done hereafter"
