i,ve always hated hostels right from my secondary school days.if there is one thing i love it is my privacy,i just don't like people disturbing me.i'm also allergic to dirty environment so i can't even cope with living with dirty people,

I didnt bother readn thru d oda comment(bit sori peepz) bt I dnt strongly blv that their r merit of hostel expecially avn room mates. Cos of the frustration u might recieve from some room mates. At times, they wuldn't even allow u to study in ur own room due to gisting. The reason we are in skul is to ready n study bt sm room mate r strong headed. Only the understanding one can help.

I had both experiences in school, i lived in the school hostel for 3yrs and went off campus in my final year. But I enjoyed my hostel days more cos i always had gud roomates, the room gists and i wil always crave 2 cum bk 2 d rum afta lectures, i am d type dat culd read in d rum, al i had 2 do was 2 lock my ears wt ma ear piece 2 avoid external distraction, live external off camp was quiet stressful but i enjoyd both experiences. My advice is 4 one 2 try both, a lot of persons dat stayed in d hostel after our first yr in uniben lest 2 stay of k alone came bk 2 d hostel again. Both experiences count!

My experience back in uniben was pretty fun, stayed in HALL THREE. The most vivid experience was in my 4th year. A next door room mate of mine, well connected in school politics retained the same room 4 four sessions. He was a heavily built chap,a bully, born in warri raised in ajegunle. He was every bit funny, always had sex with his numerous girlfriends right in the room in the presence of his room mate, (offcourse with the lights off). He was a porn addict, had TV set, a DVD player and tons of adult films. Many of his room mates who couldnt bear his attitude always had to leave after making several un-replied protests to the porters. I remember, he had a august visitor (confras) on a certain night. About three mean looking guys walked into his room, pointed guns at him and made him frog jump (in full nudity for hours), with dirty slaps rained on him every minute interval. They made his room mates watch. We were stunned to see his entire face swollen the next day. I remember we all laughed when his room mates narrated what had happened overnight. Hostel life is sure fun.

The hostel is not for studying purposes. U have the reading rooms and libraries for that.
