Nigerians are impatient investors, they cannot invest in long term projects, they want to get their returns as quickly as possible.

A lot of these young people think it's that simple: Put up a world class infrastructure and gbam, we have solved our health problem. The wahala is much deeper. The level of man power development in Nigeria is ridiculously meager. Not to even talk of the ethical value of the fews on ground. For Nigeria to work proper, a lot need to be scraped and we just have to start afresh. It will be a waste of resources to built an international infrastructure that would be run aground as soon as it is handed over to the ill educated specialists.

As for the topic, it mainly has to do with budgets, I expect the delta, oil producing states to build those "international standard hospitals" than cash strapped states like Lagos.
