Odunharry: Van Persie described the hour-long meeting on Monday morning as "confrontational" with players
pointing the finger of blame at team-
mates for shirking responsibilities and a few home truths being rammed home.
The after-shocks of Manchester United's alarming collapse - they conceded four goals in a shambolic 21 minutes to lose 5-3 after being 3-1 up - have rumbled on all week. It was the first time in 34 years United
had lost a game after being two goals ahead and Van Persie admitted the team meeting at the club's Carrington training ground the next day was not for the faint-hearted.
"It shouldn't be possible to lose like
that but it happened and we had to
deal with it. And that is what we did
the next day. We had a proper look at it," he said. "It was a confrontational meeting but
it was a very good meeting where
everyone spoke up and showed their feelings. It was a long meeting, one hour or something. "I can't really remember a game as
weird as that. For the first hour we
were in control, we were 3-1 up and
we even had a chance to make it 4-1. And then suddenly, 25 minutes later, we were losing the game 5-3. "We spoke about it. It is the right way forward, to speak not only about the good things you do but especially about things where you can improve.
And that is what we did."

i swear if dy fk up i today i trust coogar,sailorxy,elampiro,starboard,chrisley024 and d rest united fan to storm Carrington nxt week
bros I no go storm anywhere oo, I sitdon for my kaban kampe. if those group of world class talents no fit sort themselves by themselves, na sitdon look mode I dey oo

what do you mean by regress?
play him in CM & saying he's regressed? even van Gaal won't dare think in such line.
he had a back injury carrying Man United alone last season, flying down the wings! and some month's later he won't make it? please!

back injury carrying who? after the sunderland game where he shone, what else did he do? he lost us the carling cup at old trafford playing like a castrated deer.

see how far sterling has progressed, see januzaj still playing like a schoolboy. he won't make it. everyone just wants him to but he won't. let's bet on this.

play 4-3-3 with Januzaj & di Maria either side of Falcao, and come back here let's analyze his impact after just 3 games

you would play januzaj in 4-3-3? grin cheesy

thank God you admit he had his spell. name three players with a better season than Januzaj for Man United last season, that's testimony for a guy just making his break @ a period the squad is bullshiit.
whether he lost us the champions league final or not is not my concern, my issue is about his development.
van Persie lost enough chances in Madrid to end the game as contest, he still gets to start. Ronaldo had his own share during his formative years.
Experienced Vidic himself had some costly errors that culminated in scandalous losses, same with Rio, same with Evra. all these doesn't take away their quality.
if the lad was flourishing as a winger, why sending him to start playing CM or striker?
we saw the predatory instincts of Wilson last season, how can we continue seeing that if van Gaal starts playing him as a wing back like he did with Lingard?

lol..wheres dayo?

Evn relegated Cardiff earned times 2 of what bayern earned from tv right last season.

And what does this mean in the scheme of things? Is TV money the only place where teams make money?

Despite this Bayern is still one of the richest clubs in Europe without debt. Madrid this week announced they are 600m in debt.

Or on the field does this money stop Bayern Dortmund from molesting the best English league has to offer?

And how many of those who made more TV money are richer than Bayern? All the German clubs decided they dont want any dirty investment aside what they can generate internally. Thats why the Bundesliga gets shown free on TV for the German populace and the stadium are full

At least Bayern isnt making 140m while giving the other teams crumbs like Barcelona does?

Seria A 1 Juve = 94m AC Milan 3rd 77m difference 17m
Bundesliga 1. Bayern 36m 3rd Leverkusen 33m difference 3m
EPL 1 Liverpool 117m 3rd Chelsea 112m Difference 4m

LA LIGA 1. Barcelona 140m 3 Valencia 40m Difference 100m

How do you sleep at night with this brutal rapppe of your league?

No wonder La Liga teams cant even pay players salary because Barcelona is rappingg them sore.

Your typical rap

La liga teams are allowed to negotiate their own deals. Are you angry that we're good at marketing ourselves as we are at playing football?
If the relegating team in the EPL is earning more than the German champion, isn't it such a sorry case? What the hèll kind of a league is that? An elite league for that matter.

And to think that on top of that, Bayern still bullies the rest of the BuLi teams…SMH

They can negotiate their deal to the extent that most La liga clubs cant pay their players salary

Is that not a fraud on its own? If every league allows teams to negotiate salaries How do you think Hull City would survive?
Man Utd last season made 106m, Hull made 80m Would that be possible if all teams negotiate their deals?

The King’s Cup descended into farce on Thursday night when Racing Santander’s players, protesting over unpaid wages, refused to challenge for the ball after their quarter-final second leg at home against Real Sociedad kicked off.

In bizarre scenes, which brought the financial difficulties hindering many Spanish clubs sharply into focus, rival players and coaching staff embraced on the pitch as the Santander fans chanted their support for the team.

Thats what happens in Spanish football. This is even worse than Nigerian league. Players cant get their wages because Barcelona is canibalising the league.

The La liga that has investment cant even pay their players, Malaga had to auction their players last yr even with all the investment, With all these investment Barcelona still r@p3s every team

De Gea, Rafael, McNair, Rojo, Shaw, Blind, Herrera, Di Maria, Rooney, van Persie, Falcao

Looks like the Mata rumors might turn out true, maybe even Januzaj will also be discarded in January to finance other mega deals then and in the summer window.

Do German clubs not owe their staffs and players? Oh please spare me

So it's Barca's fault that Racing santander couldn't pay their players? You must be a comedian

Spain's financial problem is economical, not just football alone, so your excuse is just not viable.
If you were heading the Spanish football federation and you had teams like Barca and Real madrid, you'll rather share peanuts knowing what they can bring to the table?

dayo is right!
real madrid & barcelona were allowed to negotiate their TV deals independently while the others are left with scraps. the top 2 teams got stronger & the bottom teams can't attract star players & their revenue is shyte.

if the same ish is done here in england, i am pretty sure teams like chelsea & arsënal would have been put out of business many moons ago. only £24m in prize money separates the champions of england & the 20th team on the table. this is to make the competition fairer.

our defence is a worry!
without proper cover in front of them moreso. we should have two sitting DMs for this kind of crisis @ the back. 4-2-3-1 with Fletcher. seems van Gaal favors the attack mode. hopefully, he puts more cover in midfield if we can race to a clear lead by halftime

Like many Spanish clubs, Valencia have been grappling with massive debts for a while, generally relying on player sales in order to keep things ticking over.

Champions League finalist Atletico Madrid is struggling to pay its bills on time even as the team chases European club soccer’s top prize.

Atletico was late with 37 percent of payments to suppliers last season, according to its latest financial statement. Chief Executive Officer Miguel Angel Gil said that, with Spanish banks restricting lending to the club during a six-year slump, the team turned to investors from Azerbaijan, the U.S. and Kazakhstan to help finance the signings of six players including striker Diego Costa. Gil said he has also used a home he owns as collateral to secure a loan.

as long as herrera & blind are told to defend, we should be fine. rooney would help with some defensive work too.

you are right though, i would have started fletcher too for at least one forward player. west ham would bombard us with aerials.

come on, bro!
which private investor would waste their funds on all those 3rd-tier la liga sides? investors would rather put that money on stoke fc or burnley.

the money is in england - la liga is doing nothing to package their product. they need to start playing early afternoon games to capture the asian fans. they have done nothing in the US as well.

So whats the big deal with winning one season? How sustainable is it? for over 10yrs a club not named Barca or Madrid(who make the chunk of the money) couldnt win the league.
Deportivo that won the La Liga sometime back were in relegation for several yrs recently
Atletico Madrid won the league and their financial situation is still so terrible that they have to sell all their key players because Barcelona takes all the money

How have private investments helped Atletico from selling all their players, Helped Malaga from going into bankrutcy and even getting penalised by UEFA, How have those helped Valencia from going into financial problems.

Is it the media that makes Atletico unable to pay their bills? or media that makes Santander unable to pay wages

Ok, Barca gets more but as you can read, it's cos they market themselves well enough. Every league has their strategies. If the policy in England and Germany are that good, why is cardiff earning more than Bayern, given that both leagues share according to position, is the BuLi that wretched?
