I don't want to start a long discussion over Iva.

He is a right back and then a centre back. He played as a right back for Chelsea on his arrival (first few seasons I believe) but later he was drafted to the middle when Terry was not in form and to cover for the vacuum left by Alex. He scored some vital goals for Chelsea in UCL in his first year of activity in the UCL. He helped Chelsea to EPL title in 2010 and FA cup same year. He played a prominent role in helping Chelsea to beat Barca enroute to winning UCL 2012. The following year, 2013 he scored the winner in the Europa final in a well perfectly directed header.
